I worked at SAP as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I only met good people during my time at SAP. They seem to really care about employees, by supplying access to really good food, a gym and events such as ice cream on Fridays.

    Cons

It's a big company and sometimes can feel like you are just another cog in a machine.

I worked at SAP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

SAP is a great company. The caliber of people you get to work with are top-notch. It's also got a very good culture and a positive and professional work environment.

    Cons

As a publicly traded company, it's a quarter-by-quarter roller coaster. Staffing can go up or quickly down with one bad quarterly forecast.

    Advice to Management

The end-of-quarter paranoia paralyzes many people and causes unnecessary distraction.

I worked at SAP as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Big corporation that treats their full time employees great.

    Cons

They cycle through contractors in and out as needed so its hard to get a full time role unless a job opens up.

I have been working at SAP part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company provides access to gym, covers lunch expenses, and overall benefits are great

    Cons

Luck of permanent work desk for most of the interns and entry-level employees. Also, it is unusual for employees to work with two monitors. Most of them work just with a laptop alone which is very inconvenient

I have been working at SAP full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Innovative company that cares about its employees and fosters growth

    Cons

There are very few downsides that I can think of. SAP might not be a good fit if you're looking to coast by with current skills instead of learning new skills.

    Advice to Management

Continue innovating and never become complacent

I worked at SAP (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, great responsibility and really made me feel like part of the team. Great company doing amazing things.

    Cons

Being a larger company, it was very easy to just feel like a number. It was really easy to fly under the radar working on such a ,argue team

I worked at SAP (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It's SAP. It pays decently.

    Cons

That will wear off in your first week as you see what a mess IT and the Cloud groups are. No organization, no efficiency, people shirking their responsibilities with a "don't bother me" attitude. The dynamic with other groups is poor at best. No middle management that dares do anything. show any leadership, let alone rock the boat to fix it. If it wasn't for the huge price tag for SAP products, this would be instantly recognized.

    Advice to Management

Can about 90% of the middle management and data center employees. They are just collecting a paycheck. Review organizational structure & align teams required to work together under same leadership (new) so that something can actually get done around there.
