I have been working at SAS Scandinavian Airlines full-time

    Pros

The employee travel scheme is very good and the travel on other airlines is excellent and a good reward for working for an airline

    Cons

The job is very tiring and you work a lot of hours and do a lot of flights when you are at work

The pay should be more to reflect the costs of living in Scandinavia, especially Norway

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job at being involved with crew and they are always there to help if there is something that you need help with.

    Pros

Flexible hours and when you're not on work you don't have to think about work. You meet new people all the time.

    Cons

Long working hours, bad salary and not very flexible with time-off.

    Advice to Management

Reports on colleagues should be taken more seriously.

I worked at SAS Scandinavian Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Skilled and professional colleagues. Pretty good remuneration and decent perks. Excellent vacation agreements.

    Cons

The company has not had a CEO with experience from running a company within the transportation sector, let alone an airline company, for at least the last 50 years. That is evident in the strategic (lack of?) decisions and adaptation to the market - always coming in second to the ball.

    Advice to Management

Hire a CEO with experience from an Airline company.

    Pros

If you don't want to do anything.

    Cons

Bad management, being bad and or uncollegual is an advantage :)

    Advice to Management

    Open up eyes. wake up.

    Pros

Co workers that make all the difference and many exiting areas to explore and get new experiences within.

    Cons

Several years of cost saving and reorganization has made its marks in the working atmosphere

    Pros

Great work environment. The recent cut backs in seat capacity and employees have created tension though. Flight benefits are great. However, temps can only fly on SAS operated flights which limits the range of trips.

    Cons

The senior management is completely invisible. Even at a time of crisis it has been very limited how much information was shared. We would get written statements or brochures that looked to primarily have investors as the target group.

    Advice to Management

Senior management in Sweden should definitely show up in Copenhagen more often and be more visible in general. It does not work to only state in the internal newspaper that visible leadership is happening in Stockholm, when no C-level people show up in Copenhagen
