I have been working at SASCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

SASCO has many pros and reasons to stay within the company. First off, SASCO offers great health/dental benefits, along with a great 401K. Additionally, what you put-in to your career is what you get out of it. The harder you work, the faster you move up, and the effort you put into your duties is recognized. Upper management tries to give you activities to look forward to, such as a company picnic, and different activities arranged throughout the year to thank you for your hard work. SASCO is very ahead of the game, when it comes to customizing certain aspects you deal with to make the job flow more fluidly. Employees are rewarded for coming up with new ideas to help improve the SASCO experience. Long hours spent working are always rewarded in the end.

    Cons

Occasionally long hours are required to finish some tasks you are given, which causes time at home to decrease. This typically only lasts a few months, until the job is over the "hump".

    Pros

Your career with Sasco is mostly based on your motivation, interest, talent and potential. If you prove you are a hard worker with an eagerness to learn and move forward, Sasco will invest their time into properly training you. Hard work goes a long way and your advancement is directly related. The industry knows Sasco for their innovation in preconstruction and prefab/package planning, the saying really is true! "Often imitated, never duplicated!"

    Cons

If you aren't a self starter and you are afraid of work then this isn't the place for you. Your future is truly in your own hands. You really only get what you put in....this could be a big "con" for those who don't know the right questions to ask and wait for the training to come to them.

    Advice to Management

no advice, other than to always keep an open line of communication!

I have been working at SASCO full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A culture that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit. New ideas are encouraged and expected. A company structure that allows for individual growth and advancement. Group structure provides good team support.

    Cons

While communication is emphasized at the executive level, it can be lacking at the individual level. When new systems or ideas are put in place, they may not be well communicated to all personnel. You may have to search out resources, or answers, which can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Better training for new employees would be helpful. SASCO has so much to offer with unique systems, reports and management techniques, it would be helpful to train employees on how to best utilize these means and methods.

Unfortunately, the owner is always angry about something and it trickles down through management to the workers. Very unhealthy.

    Pros

All-around SASCO is a great company to work for with good benefits, it’s definitely the Leader in the Electrical industry with lots of opportunities for the employees to grow.

    Cons

The Dress code is very strict, outdated and sometimes unfairly enforced. Business casual attire should be allowed daily since we are in the construction industry, Polo shirts with the company logo are an excellent marketing tool

    Advice to Management

Bonuses, company perks and paid days off are always good, but showing an employee how much the company appreciates, respects and values them on a personal level is also very gratifying.
