I have been working at SB, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company owned by a big company so you have all the benefits. Dispatchers and safety are all truck drivers

    Cons

We have a lot of older equipment but the shop does services regularly and fixes any problems with the trucks

I worked at SB, Inc. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Before ownership changed, it was the #1 flatbed company to work for in the northwest. So sad that it did a complete 180 turn.

    Cons

Very high turnover in drivers year around and huge layoffs of office people every fall and winter. Why is that? The owner and his management people are extremely disconnected from the drivers . Drivers are a dime a dozen mentality. Lots of favoritism going on to.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat people. Trust and loyalty must be earned both ways.

    Pros

Worked for them 2004 to 2006,Kept me rolling, if they didn't have loads, they would put me in the wind and load me 200 miles away, and was home every weekend, worked for them for 2 years, only left because a was recalled to a large airplane building co. Would rehire in a second if they would have me

    Cons

Small sleeper on there trucks, but I see they are getting better. But got to keep the weight down

    Negative Outlook

I worked at SB, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can drive up to 77mph without being governed. Decent pay when you don't have to haggle about detention, breakdown, layover.

    Cons

Ancient equipment, low-tops (coffin sleepers), always in shop or broken down, office staff doesn't care if drivers stay or leave. This company isn't for the "professional" truck driver. Not concerned with safety or DOT regulations if customer requires you run illegal.
