    I worked at SCC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I worked at SCC for over 5 years in a management position. In that time I did have reasonable progression and pay rises but you had to fight tooth and nail to justify it and also make yourself indispensable before even asking.

    Some improvements to facilities in last 12 months such as reasonably priced cafeteria and refurbished office.

    Cons

    It is a private company with very few people at the top. Despite rules against having spouses or family working at SCC it is a family company with 4 members of the board related to each other.

    To me it is a very egocentric organisation and often it is not whether you are right but if you do as you are told, however illogical or pointless the task transmitted to you.

    If you join SCC hoping to make waves or a name for yourself your career will be short lived. I have seen very good people high up start to make significant improvements only to be sacked with zero notice due to personality clashes with a director (imagine The Dictator film when people disappear at a whim).

    Often customers are kept at arm's length and may have to shout the loudest for attention (especially dealing with DCS) as it is an MSP and there isn't the resource to manage all customers at once (most of time this isn't a big deal).

    Whilst I have made some good friends at SCC I am not optimistic for it's future in this state. A sale to a larger company would be an unsurprising move given the future.

    The opening of SCC Vietnam is to my mind clearly to position SCC away from the EU regulations of Romania to save costs in the future.

    Advice to Management

    You all know what you're doing so if you're happy with it just keep in going. However I'd be careful around senior management and never trust them as there is likely a hidden motive.

    Nothing to say to senior management as they are set in their ways and have their profit targets to meet. My opinion is not going suddenly change years of habit.

    I worked at SCC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    People are lovely and friendly, people go out of their way to help as much as they can. Chance for progression if you work hard.

    Cons

    Management do not listen enough. Some managers dont appreciate what work you do there is no real incentives for the workers that are not in sales.

    Advice to Management

    Treat staff a little better. Review you pay and how pay rises are dealt with. Stop treating the sales department as the be all and end all, after all other departments are involved in providing a good customer experience.

    Pros

    - Stable working environment;
    - Great for learning opportunities ;
    - Paid overtime - if needed;
    - Salary according to your experience and knowledge;

    Cons

    - The building; the workplace - a huge hall with a few hundred people; Poor lighting and air flow;
    - There are some low quality managers with questionable people abilities. Not all of them are this way;
    - Sadly the "bottom kissing" reviews are true especially in Romania;
    - Poor HR policies;
    - Poor salary adjustments;

    Advice to Management

    Pay more attention to employee satisfaction;
    Provide a better working place

    I worked at SCC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Generally a good company to work for. in general the people who work there are a good friendly bunch. Depending which area you work in, if you are good at your job, and know what you are doing, you are left to get on with things with very little interference from above

    Cons

    Pay reviews are patchy at best, and almost non-existent at worse.
    Sometimes there can be little co-operation between departments, with certain senior managers looking after there own little 'empires' and not necessarily looking at what is best overall.
    For a company that prides itself on its family-run values, a little has been lost as the company has expanded - you can feel like just a payroll number on a spreadsheet, rather than a valued team member and employee.
