I have been working at SCL Health full-time

    Pros

    Working from home is great.

    Cons

Very poor senior leadership. They do not care about employees. Poor work life balance and very disjointed. Employees are miserable and overly stressed. New leadership will ruin the company.

I have been working at SCL Health full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay is decent and work from home policy is good.

    Cons

Senior leadership is subpar. They care more about money than culture, employees, and sometimes I think even patients.

I worked at SCL Health full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I had the privilege of working with some incredibly intelligent and dedicated individuals who exemplified the nature of team work. EPIC software is very useful.

    Cons

Senior leadership was toxic. If they spent as much time being good as they did promoting an image, they would not have such turnover. Their outward image simply does not reflect how they run things. Given the association with Christian beliefs, this organizational behavior made me even more ill. I hope they have evolved but I will not work for this organization again.

I worked at SCL Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    some locations pay is better.

    Cons

Leadership encourages stories to be made up about other employees. HR doesn't get told the full story. Bad behavior is rewarded. Lack of staffing. Senior Leadership pays favorites, if you are not a favorite employee your concerns are not listened to nor addressed. Positions are not posted but given to the favorite employee/associate.

I worked at SCL Health full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lots of good people work here

    Cons

Senior Leadership cant seem to get all the hospitals to work as a system. The sites just want what they want and they do not care about any cost savings, efficiencies or benefits of standardizing their systems and services. I know of many people in both management and staff positions that are looking for jobs else where. The work life balance is something that is talk about a lot but project volume and completion requirements have many working very long days with no end in site. It has been like this for many years.

    Cons

Senior leadership does not value long term employees. Physicians are abuselive to staff and are never held accountable.

I have been working at SCL Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have great people as my coworkers, and the company definitely provides great patient care. However, there is very little encouragement toward upward mobility.

    Cons

The leadership here is a disaster. There is constant turnover and no one seems to have any trust in senior leadership. I have seen impressive displays of nepotism in my department. The mission is very hard to find anywhere outside of the hospital.
