I have been working at SCL Health part-time

    Pros

Wonderful coworkers - the people that I work with really care for each other and the patients! My manager is in-tune with the needs of her staff and bends over backwards to help her team.

    Cons

Upper management is very concerned with money, which sometimes makes it hard to provide safe and effective care to the patients.

I have been working at SCL Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

We truly care about our patients and deal with awful management to help others.

    Cons

If you work here you will be screwed over by upper management. Whatever you think you should make salary wise, go ahead and cut that by 20% if you want to work here. In fact, if you work in Colorado they will compare your pay to places like Kansas and Montana so they can pay you as little as humanly possible. Benefits? Go ahead and cut that too, just like our new retirement savings match program. Want tuition reimbursement? They'll change the deadline and not mention it until a week before it's due so you get nothing. Think you should get shift differential for working an hour or two during the evening or night shift? Think again! You have to work over half of your shift during the evening or night to get ANY amount of that shift differential. Nothing will be in your favor here. They'll make many excuses as to why they screw you over-but never forget that they truly don't care about you, only the bottom line. They don't see you as a human who is literally below the poverty line because they don't pay enough- It's not their problem. Think you can try to negotiate pay with these reptiles? They'll cut their losses with you and hire someone else. They don't see you as a person. On another note- the equipment is cheap and outdated, we still use computers with windows 7 (which you can't even buy in the stores), the hospital is consistently short staffed and they will add more to your workload without any compensation or much needed equipment. Seriously, don't work here.

I worked at SCL Health full-time

    Pros

Nice and friendly coworkers (but you have to be quiet about getting together).

    Cons

The hospitals and care sites seem to have better management and working relationships. The corporate office is micromanagement, very OPPRESSIVE climate, no paid holidays, lack of communication, and no engagement from upper management.

I have been working at SCL Health full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Decent benefits overall and growing company

    Cons

Upper management cares only about profit, They are not listening to any feedback from providers and staff, they forced most clinic managers out recently, tried to cut shift diffs, have little to no interested in what actually happens with patient and they are trying to micro-manage and direct care

I worked at SCL Health full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits and close to home.

    Cons

Too big and you get lost in the shuffle you never know who is doing what in the corporate office. Most of middle management is abusive and upper management doesn't care.

I have been working at SCL Health full-time

    Pros

Hard working and caring employees System teamwork among support staff Fantastic Providers

    Cons

Upper management is running this system into the ground, they are secretive in their vision which in turn creates a fearful work environment. They have hard working devoted people working under them and don't take the time to acknowledge their efforts. Instead they chose to make decisions based on who knows what, in the end they will lose many, many good people.
