    Great company to work for. I have been here 3 1/2 years and we have been through many challenges but it has all been worth it.

    Pros

    technology focused company with very open attitude about cooperation and working together. seems like there are alot of opportunities and areas for the company to grow in the coming years

    Cons

    Sales team needs help - more work than they are able to get to. More staff in engineering would help also.

    Advice to Management

    hire some key talent to win more business and invest in R&D for next gen products

    Pros

    There are many great things about this company from the technology, to the customers to the commitment by the staff to create innovative solutions. What I truly appreciate is the emphasis on creating more than just a place to work, but an innovative community where new thoughts and ideas are encouraged and respected. The leadership team, and especially Danny Rajan the CEO, works hard to create an open environment of communication and respect at all levels of the organization. What I particularly like about Danny is his willingness to foster new ways of thinking. It's a great place to work, and its growing.

    Cons

    We have many single points of failure.

    Advice to Management

    Need to make sure there is more cross-training with using our products.

    Pros

    Strong teamwork culture that is fostering innovation and product expansion. Executive leadership focusing on employee fulfillment and growth, providing transparent and open environment for everyone. Leadership encouraging personnel to look for new and innovative solutions that expand offerings and capabilities.

    Cons

    Still small staff. Personnel must be able to move and adjust across multiple roles and responsibilities; which can detract from primary goals and accountable tasks.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to keep lines of communication open. Continue to accept input and advice from experienced staff.

    Pros

    Fun company to work for. The products we sell are cutting edge for the government space, and we have a very open leadership team that gives us room to succeed and grow.

    Cons

    Sales are slow - and we don't have the number of relationships we need to grow quickly. .

    More staff and investment in engineering.

    Since it still at a a startup level, when sales people and management are out, it gets kind of lonely in the office... but that's subjective.

    Pros

    Great office and location. Highly intelligent teams focused on solutions to challenges. Good culture built around collaboration. Knows the government market inside and out. I really enjoyed the pace, ability to extend my skill sets and the people. Good place to work for someone who likes challenges and to grow.

    Communications was sometimes a challenge due to staffing shortages.

    Market the products over platform more to increase market share.

    Pros

    Super-smart leadership. Exemplary work ethic at the top of the organization. Well connected with very successful track records. Mission focused. Committed to the cause. Unique product combination in language technology, leading the way in foreign language social media, informal language and post editing machine translation (PEMT). Even better roadmap. I was disappointed to be caught in a RIF/layoff right when we were turning the corner. But the CEO and SVP were professional and communicated effectively with me in that process. At the end of the day I trust them and would do business with them or work for them again. If you are reading this you are doing your homework. Don't be distracted by the sour grapes. 2015 was a tough year. I wish I was starting now and not a year ago. Timing is right to make a big impact.

    Cons

    Company transitioning from a rock solid legacy machine translation engine to a suite of integrated, enterprise software that hit a couple of bumps in early '15 in that transition. A couple of key people got out of dodge in the midst of that process. Frankly this burned some people out. Tough year. For those who stuck it out, the bumps are now smoothed out. The product is now winning competitive government evaluations and the upside is huge. The CEO is a never say die, very driven, very determined leader and if you lose focus, he will hold you accountable. It is precisely this kind of drive that paid off to get SDLGov over the sophomore slump hump, but the pressure rubbed a few folks the wrong way.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people with successful start-up experience, particularly with innovative software, both engineering and sales to complement the government savvy folks there now. A faithful few have been getting spread too thin, you need more committed people who will go above and beyond 9-5. Use inside sales as a force multiplier, not as an individual contributor. Consider language services expansion and customization service offering. Consider formalizing an OSINT platform program. Roll out a new secured hosted product. Consider putting the entire GLP in the cloud. Exploit objective evaluations vs MT players recently won.

    CEO is a very smart individual, but unfortunately is emotionally stunted and poisons the work environment atmosphere with hostility and bullying.
