    Pros

If you're looking to learn new things, this CAN be what you're looking for.

    Cons

Don't be too ambitious, and for God's sake, don't let the project managers think you might be smarter than them; well, unless you want to relive high school all over again with the rumor mongering, hazing and conspiracy.

    Advice to Management

    Tell the truth for once.

I worked at SECURUS Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some nice coworkers and OK atmosphere.

    Cons

Feeling like I was a bug to be stepped on, difficult to get support or any direction. Favoritism is worse than high school. Also a lot of iffy things going on that made me feel I was not on an even playing field. Management is immature...like high school, actually more like grade school and the manager was like a crossing guard and would not let you cross without giving you a hard time if you were not liked. Very intimidating. I was treated well but I seen coworkers be treated horribly. No diversity, if you are of color other than white, it is not in your head---you may be treated differently. I found a much better job, hence I decided to write a review after careful consideration. I don't write poor reviews but I felt it may help if someone needs to work here.

    Advice to Management

What is wrong with you that you favor people and enjoy intimidating others and even poking fun of employees during conference calls. You should know better. No idea what you think will transpire as you treat people as if cattle, just another warm body to see how far they will go for a sale. I started feeling like I was doing iffy things, and I realize if I feel that way...then time to leave. I did. Hey managers, you do the dirty work and making suggestions is the same thing as if you are doing it yourself. Shady, seeing how much money one can get from the already poor and on the fringes of society.

    Pros

There are few. The company provides a service that correctional facilities need and their Telecommunications division has it together for the most part.

    Cons

The insurane is awful. Pay is awful. Management is awful.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Hire management with experience running software/IT teams. Get more involved in your remote locations. You laid off staff you could have used to build better products. Stop treating the company like a popularity contest.

    Cons

So much of the leadership are in roles they grew into and lack the experience of how the real word does certain things..

    Advice to Management

Upper management is good.. but think with middle management.. they need to bring some fresh blood in and get fresh outlook on things..
