I worked at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

SOME people. But just that. The people.

    Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE! 1. They promise you relocation package then they "forget". I chased it for two whole months. 2. They DO NOT pay as per the contract. 3. They DO NOT reply to e-mails chasing your payment. 4. They train you in one way, you work COMPLETELY the other. 5. It's all bad as it is. PLEASE save yourselves a couple of months and don't go there!

    Advice to Management

Get your stuff together and that's it. Be human. And look at your employees as humans, not numbers!

I worked at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They mass hire during the summer and everything looks great , you’ll see people who are committed and happy You’ll have good colleagues and team leaders

    Cons

from January on , they start to send people home . They will say it’s for absenteeism or lateness or for targets , few are the ones that don’t snap into a medical leave . But even with 0% absenteeism and lateness , everything on target ,one of the best guy from our team was let go . “Orders from above” . People would go to work scared to be sent home for no reason , people who had paternity leave, people that were... admitted in the hospital , they come back to find they’re unemployed. Don’t expect any sympathy or understanding , they’re not interested in people but in machines working for them . They’ll promise you loads of career progression , and you will , if you sit at the right table or sleep with someone from management HR are incompetent and expect to always chase on your money , every month they find a way of taking money from your salary

I worked at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Gave an opportunity to work for a great client and see how well the employees can be treated. Nothing else.

    Cons

They make decisions on people based on lies collected in the office, from people that you have never even spoke to. They will destroy your reputation with such lies and won’t even explain why. Furthermore, they will not discuss this with their client, as it is purely their decision. So, Even though their client is happy with the hire, they will still let you go. This is the most disgusting, untruthful company I have... ever worked for. Their work is based on lies and unfair treatment.

    Advice to Management

No advise, as this company shld not even be existent with such attitude and work ethics. A bunch of liars and hypocrites.

I have been working at SELLBYTEL Group full-time

    Pros

Got a job. - There is nothing possitive about sellbytel as an employer. They hardly even exist once you are hired.

    Cons

You will work for other companies as a contractor. They will treat you as such. Sellbytel management doesn't do anything. As long as their customer does not complain they are 100% passive. I spoke my sellbytel manager 3 times incl the hiring process - It's sad as they have cool customers and could be a good employer but they do not show any signs that they care about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Realise that your organisation is not working and your customer will soon leave. You are not providing value.

I worked at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I couldn’t find any good point to highlight the team is going crazy

    Cons

Business Intelligent Team, has become the worst team in Sellbytel APAC especially since webhelp took over. The current HOD has no knowledge on business intelligent at all which is creating a bad atmosphere in the team and causing team members to resign frequently. The worst part is when you don’t know that you are the cause of the problem that means you keep doing the wrong thing and good employees keep resigning... and you keep hiring the wrong personnel ( because you have no idea how to conduct a technical interview on BI and analyses). There is no career development and again because the HOD doesn’t know what king of training the team needs. Senior team members are not given the chance to take higher responsibilities and to be promoted to Team lead or BI Manager, HOD keep hiring new staff from outside instead of promoting from the existing team members. There is no culture and no clear direction and this is make sense because of the luck of BI understanding. There is no ability to convey Webhelp vision from analytics point of view to the team. There is a huge gap between the top management vision and HOD’s direction.

    Advice to Management

I’m calling to the top management to check on APAC BI team to see what’s going wrong with that HOD urgently.

I have been working at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Amazing co-workers and also some incredible team leaders and project leaders even though most of the good project leaders have left. The trainers do what they can within what the are allowed to train you. Free parking all the time, but beware of cars scratching your doors. Workforce Management leaders are the ones who treat you as human beings but even they can only do what upper management tells them how to treat... you.

    Cons

Nothing is like they tell you in the interview. Nothing is like they tell you when you get promoted within the company. They treat you always as number and a robot slave. There is usually only a few seconds in between each call and you cannot take breaks when you want. Your breaks area controlled to the second, if you take more than 1 or 2secs more in the morning, afternoon or lunch periods you have unjustified... absenteeism. They want you to be a YES man and there is no merit in the career progression, only the friends and those who agree with upper management have a pass. You need to be a Robot and never present your creative thoughts or suggestions you are going to be told "you know nothing of the business" or "this is how this business is run" . Team leaders always take most of the crap from upper management and are the ones who have to give face for really bad management decisions, management never gives out their face and use you to their limits, blaming Team leaders for their bad decisions and blaming team leaders if you get bad results or if affect the team or company results. Upper and middle management is so used to bully you all the time, this is normal for them, if you don't agree with how the slave labour is done or allocated to you, they will show you the door out, alleging there is always plenty of people willing to to the same job. You will never be appreciated even if you never miss a day of work and put the company before your family. Also forget about your bonus, you will never get it, even if the Team leader tells management you deserve it, the metrics and how the bonus file is done with complex excel formulas will deny you of your bonus always. It is always a problem to take your vacations, since they only allow very small amount of people per week to take their holidays in the same period, stating there is a high client demand and you cannot take them in the period you want. The Internal communications is an absolute disaster and not only management and HR doesn't know how to write proficient in the language of the project you work for, but they also barely know how Portuguese law works and deny your legal rights all the time, based on internal procedures made for the specific project you work for. They only Hire you on monthly temporary contracts and if you're lucky to get a 6 month contract, which they can always dismiss you at the end of 4th contract renewal, usually in the middle of end of year or just before Christmas. Last but not leat if you are desperate to work, always read the contract paragraphs, most of them are not according to each country labour law and be ready to have always mistakes on your payslips which can only be corrected only 1 to 3 months later depending on how many departments were involved in deducting minutes out of your payslip by mistake or forgetting to pay money you were owed.

    Advice to Management

If you hire people to speak a specific language as natives make sure you too also speak and write that same language proficiently. Lead by showing the employees your example and never treat them as numbers. Give them raises when they deserve it and show respect for each persons family conditions, ask not how your employees can make you more money by how your employees can make your company grow and show other... prospective candidates how it is a great place to work in. The better working conditions and the better your employees feel in their job, the better candidates the company will have.

I have been working at SELLBYTEL Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work colleagues that make hell almost become paradise.

    Cons

No opportunity to grow in the company, inviroment resembles GOT, every week multiply people are "killed" (sent away). 5 people were to renew their contract to become permanent, all sent away.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and actually manage a company or you will loose everything.
