I worked at SES (Stirling Energy Systems) full-time

    Pros

Worked with some of the smartest and most motivated people in a fast paced dynamic technology development environment. Mostly, there was a high level of cooperation and collaboration.

    Cons

Top level management lost focus on what was needed to make the business successful.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have the pie before you start worrying about how it gets divided!

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Company was great before the executives ran it into the ground.

    Cons

Dishonest executive team was brought in by the primary investor. They mismanaged money and drove the company right into the ground, killing a legacy of almost 30 years of hard work and progress.

    Pros

Get a chance to work on the hopeful technology in solar industry that could be the major energy source of the world someday.

    Cons

Poor management killed the hopeful company.
Too much big company politics for a small startup company
    A lot of waste

    Advice to Management

Take your time. Focus on solid technology development and validation step by step. Take your time. Don't rush to sell unproved prototype in large quantity.
