I worked at SGL Carbon (More than 10 years)

    Pros

SGL has some really good people that work for the company.

    Cons

Due to many downsizing overs the last few years at SGL alot of the management outside of Germany has been removed. SGL has lost some really good people over the last few years.

    Advice to Management

Consider keeping management outside of Germany.

I have been working at SGL Carbon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Low turn-over rate. Good colleagues. Many knowledgeable and experienced people work here. Many perks, such as very nice safety gifts and Christmas gifts.

    Cons

There is no such thing as an annual raise for exempt employees...not for merit, not for cost of living, not for anything. The company has claimed they couldn't afford to give raises 8 of the last 10 years.
