I have been working at SITA full-time

    Pros

    - Depending on your manager, work schedule can be a bit flexible (but not company wide)
    - Company phone for work
    - Talented people to work with
    - Some of the work can be interesting (but can also get repetitive)
    - Good benefits (could be better with discounts, etc)

    Cons

    - A lot of outsourcing of work to other companies (not a great track record)
    - Management is poor with people not communicating effectively or providing proper timelines
    - No big raises and not really based on merit
    - Bonus structure just leads to sometimes poor execution of projects
    - Slow heavy process was instituted a few years back but only in a few departments so other departments operating business as usual and not understanding the process other departments not have to adhere
    - Does not invest in it's people. They have online training but most of this training has to be done during your own time because of tight deadlines on projects.

    Advice to Management

    - Listen to the feedback on survey
    - Stop putting software on phone to track your employees
    - Stop instituting corporate laptops with such restrictive policies (rendering this laptop useless for engineering work)
    - See what processes are needed and work. The process obviously is not being use properly or meeting your needs. Institute a single process not multiple processes in different groups that have to work together.
    - Be innovative, and be the leaders in this area instead of waiting for a client to do pilots, etc. We should be leading not being reactive to things.
    - Provide better benefits (stop cutting back benefits)
    - Too many "Yes" man but look at the results not words

I worked at SITA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits and bonus program is really nice. Bonuses were always paid out while I was there.
    Interesting technologies.
A lot of good people to work with.

    Cons

There is a lot of process and procedures that overwhelm the progress of daily operations. Perhaps they think accomplishments cannot be made without them. A little behind the times in terms of what modern companies are doing. Internal IT is a pain and suffer GOD like complexes.

    Advice to Management

Not everyone deserves a bonus. Those who work the hardest still seem to get the same amount of bonus as those who skate by.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at SITA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    New CEO, Barbara Dalibard
    Interesting Industry
    Global company
    Some excellent co-workers
Company showing signs that it is in the process of working to turn things around on multiple fronts

    Cons

With the current level of fear of change and disruption currently in the air as SITA works to turn things around, there is the concern for reprisal to those who have been pushing for a more cooperative growth mindset culture over the years from some leadership and veteran employees not eager to embrace this foreign way of working.

Changing the culture of a company is an incredibly daunting and often painful task

    Advice to Management

As the author of a previous overall critical review of SITA that has ranked highly, feel obligated to post a follow up after meeting new CEO. As during her meet and greet, she acknowledged some of the core issues with the company and inspired some hope for much-needed changes. Some of the notable being:
    Culture severely lacking in trust
    Company lacking in strategic alignment
Need to re-evaluate solution portfolio and SITA's goals
    Simplification

While I see many challenges ahead for SITA to avoid following in the steps of Yahoo and Kodak, hearing Barbara speak was a breath of fresh air. I for one wish her the best and am looking forward to hearing more of her vision for the company.
