I worked at SM Retail full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best reason why i like to work in Sm, because the company helps a lot of people to have a descent job and they give the right salary and benefits to their employees. and through my job i learn how to deal with different people especially and giving some idea and tips for what their looking for in the store.

    Cons

The downsides in our department , sometimes if one our boss has a problem in one employee, our boss put the blame to all of us, and i do understand because they handle a big responsibility to the company.

    Advice to Management

My advise to the management if there is a problem, they can talk to the employees in a nice way, so that they avoid the conflict between the employees and the boss in the department.

    Cons

-Low salary, almost minimum - compensation do not justify the job at all
-Not for newly grads because people will expect you to keep up immediately
-People and the environment are very stiff
    -All work, no play
-Work is 9am to 7:30 PM, 10.5 hours, due to the compressed work days

-Office is not conducive for work, it honestly looks like an old warehouse
    -Very bureaucratic
    -No proper training

    Advice to Management
