    Pros

    None with this company that would be applicable to anyone wanting a full-time job with potential career advancement.

    Cons

    Upward mobility often requires relocation and barely a lateral move;
    New employment candidates are chosen by favoritism, not performance;
    Work schedule seems lenient until upper management needs to usurp the time off requested by others;
    Pay is very low on the general scale for most positions, less than industry standard in the vast majority of cases;
    Often entry-level pay is offered at the cap of what the pay for a position could ever expect to earn, no upward mobility, no progressive pay with learned skill sets, initiative or results

    Advice to Management

    Choose better employees that you value. Show that you value people by treating them with parody, respect, integrity and pay that is on par with the rest of the comparable businesses.

    Pros

    With SMG being world-wide, there are great growth opportunities in each position around the world.

    Cons

    Communication is a huge problem with and within every department.

    Advice to Management

    Truly care about your employees. Happy employees are productive employees. Positivity begins with upper management.

    I have been working at SMG Management full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good starting pay. Meeting lots of new people and making connections throughout the industry. Benefits are decent, not the best but good overall.

    Cons

    You literally have 0 life. Sometimes you work 10 days in a row and then maybe receive 1/2 a day off. My longest stretch was working 20 days without a break. You are salary so they clearly take advantage of you. Some mornings you get in at 9AM and wont be home until 10/11PM.

    Advice to Management

    Give your salary box office people atleast a day off a week. We get burnt out.

    I have been working at SMG Management full-time

    Pros

    Professional & fun co-workers. There's always something new when working with events.

    Cons

    Pay isn't very high for how many tasks you're given. Event Managers work very long hours. Sales Mangers have a basic 8-5 schedule. It's hard to move-up because people stay here their whole lives. Benefits are good.

    I have been working at SMG Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great co-workers! Nothing more than that.

    Cons

    Poor management. When you work for people who degrade you and others around you it brings down morale. Management only cares about themselves and their own agenda. You get zero bonuses or raises and the only thing to look forward to is a poorly planned holiday party midday after which you are required to return to work for the remainder of the day. So not worth your skills or time invested! Look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together. Things about others and not just your own pocketbook. Abide by the same rules you expect others to uphold and have some class. Treat people with respect and stop cursing at people like they were nothing. Its rude and unprofessional.
