    Pros

Good exposure to different kinds of audit . Plenty of outstations audit which will be useful for persons who like to travel.SNB has its own brand name and reputation in the market.Learning is better.

    Cons

It does not have a good working environment. There will be plenty of long sittings which might adversely affect the balance between your personal and professional life.It might be suitable for workaholics.Coaching classes for CA exams will not be allowed. No industrial training will be allowed.Even if you are willing to transfer within one year of articleship form 108 for articleship transfer will not be given. There are attitude problems for the partners as well. Moreover, they provide low stipend to the articles.Leave policies are very strict.Only 3 months will be given for both groups of ca final exams as study holidays. At the end of a particular quarter when audit has to be completed within specified time, articles are made to work till 11 or 12 pm in the night.Training classes for audit will be kept on sundays during peak times. There will be sudden changes in the office timings without pre intimation. They dont care about students who come from long distances. They are very particular in getting their work completed but does not bother about others.Sometimes articles are scolded without any reason. These are the things that I have experienced from chennai branch .I am not sure about other branches.I worked for one month .Luckily I didn't register so I left.I have told all the things about SNB .If you are ready to make many compromises in life join SNB associates.

    Advice to Management

Understand the people around you and act accordingly.Get rid of all the attitude problems.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at SNB full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get a brand name which can be highlighted in your Curriculum Vitae.
The pay is good and on time.
    The perfect place for workaholics.

    Cons

    Poor management.
Personal egos are allowed to adversely affect the work and the careers of the employees too, at times.
Learning prospects not equal for everyone.
Personal connections are given preference over merit by some.
Infrastructure not up to the mark.

    Advice to Management

Improve the basic management and try and be a little empathetic towards the employees, particularly the junior staff. Equal opportunities should be made available to those who want to learn. And the decisions should be free of any kind of bias. A fair, clean and happy working environment will motivate the workforce to deliver better. And will also help reducing the retention rate.
