I have been working at SNH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good use of technology, great benefits, entrepreneurial environment, opportunity to work with brilliant people, smooth interview process, commitment to giving back to community, and lots of room for growth. There are new office spaces in Las Vegas and San Francisco, and the office in San Diego is being renovated. Everyone is willing to help out where needed, making for a collegial and friendly environment.

    Cons

You just have to be prepared for the fact that everything is growing and moving a mile a minute! There is a lot of opportunity to create processes and institutionalize them. All of the portfolio companies were recently made fully independent, so SNH itself is now an investment company with a private equity fund based in San Francisco, making some of the old reviews kind of inaccurate. Probably more of a Glassdoor issue than a company issue.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work growing the company

I worked at SNH full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people who tried to do their best for customers.

    Cons

Terrible benefits and salary. No prospects for growth in sales, it's a true chop shop.

Owner micromanaged everything and according to employees I worked with who are still there - still does. This led to a lot of turnover in operations and sales people. Basically, it's a cubicle farm job, very low pay, and not a long term career place.

    Advice to Management

Employees are more than numbers. Long term success with your customers depends on happy well paid employees who have a stake in the business. SNH doesn't do that. Owner needs to stop driving Lamborghini, Aston Martins and other exotics into work. This creates a very aloof "I'm better than you" attititude to the rest of the staff who are generally living paycheck to paycheck. When you make so little, have lousy benefits and very little time off and you see the owner getting richer and nobody else getting ahead, it creates resentment and poor attitudes. Owner is a juvenile though, so this may not be apparent to him.

    Pros

Co workers are good people to work with.

    Cons

No real pay out on commissions for your hard work. They fluff up commission pay during the interview but the truth is most of our sales floor doesn't make the money promised to us due to improper pay structure. Manager needs more training on leading a sales team, lacks professionalism and closing skills. SNH building has no elegance, air vents are dirty (grime with rat feces found) which was confirmed by inspector. Cubicles are too small and our walls do not even match. Overall this company needs a huge makeover.

I worked at SNH full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros to working here. Currently being employed here might help if you are looking for another job -- any job.

    Cons

Horrible management, antiquated marketing/sales plans from the 1980s, mediocre product and horrible benefits. One week of paid time off and bad health plan. The CEO is totally out of touch and surrounds himself with friends and yes men.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company. The current CEO is smart, but not about people and how to properly run a business. He should get a different hobby and use his family wealth in a better way.

    Pros

If you are a Sr. Sales Professional you can make money and after one year can be considered to be promoted within.

    Cons

Long sales cycle. You need to prove you have what it takes to make it on the sales floor within 5-6 months or you may be let go.

    Advice to Management

Very supportive Servant Leadership model. Ongoing product and sales training for Sales Reps is always needed.

    I worked at SNH full-time

    Pros

The air in the building is free...for now. You don't have to pay them to work there...again, for now.

    Cons

Probably one of the worst run, least thoughtful places to work in America. Never seen a
place where employees are given less respect...but it's possible, I guess.

    Advice to Management

Might as well talk to my cat--probably get the same result. Besides, nobody 'gets to' talk
    to them anyways...

    Pros

ZERO - Horrible pay, horrible benefits, horrible management, antiquated processes, moldy building where OSHA frequently visits,

    Cons

See Pros, everything here is a Con.

    Advice to Management

No use, they won't listed. Jevin thinks he is GOD. He is not. He is a micro-managing megalomaniac. Horrible man, horrible company.

Wonderful schedules, wonderful people, pay is great, and opportunity is advancement and promotions are real. I just received one in less than 2 years, translating to hard work being truly recognized and appreciated!

    Cons

Benefit costs are still higher than would like

I have been working at SNH full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I enjoy what I do and the co-workers I do it with. Management has really improved over the past couple years and they seem to really value us as employees. Rarely a week goes by that we aren't rewarded with lunch or a treat of some sort.

    Cons

Older building but we're told some renovations are coming. Also dress code could be toned down a bit for operations as our support is over the phone only.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Employee's who feel valued will always be better employees.
