I worked at SNR Denton (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good law firm, well-respected in its field. Robust litigation practice and top-notch attorneys working diligently for their clients. Great location in midtown Manhattan.

    Cons

Large burnout rate, a lot of the paralegals leave after a year or two. Could work harder to keep employees from leaving. I get the sense that it is not a destination for many paralegals.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, particularly those who have been in the firm for a while and are productive and loyal. Make it a place to stay, not like a stepping stone to another firm.

    Pros

It is a very fast paced working environment. Which is great if you like to keep busy. There is very little down time.

    Cons

If you are not a higher ranking attorney or partner you are considered expendable.

I worked at SNR Denton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are nice and the work is decent. Offices in a good location.

    Cons

The firm is second-rate. It is not stable financially, so partners compete aggressively with each other for business.

    Advice to Management

Try to foster more collegiality by tweaking the partner compensation system.

I worked at SNR Denton full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Once upon a time it was a great company, very collegiate.

    Cons

Ever since Elliott took over, associates and staff watch as their benefits went bye-bye, and, as the saying goes, "the rich get richer." Constant fear of layoffs (for good reason).

    Advice to Management

Tell the truth. Not knowing is much worse than knowing.

I have been working at SNR Denton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary; benefits could be way better. I do like that if necessary, I can work from home remotely.

    Cons

The culture here is just awful. I mean, it's really poor. I don't think management really cares. Why would they? They're too busy thinking about money. The business services staff is underappreciated and working with some of the partners here has been incredibly difficult. It's all very black and white here and sometimes it just gets plain weird. After working here, I've decided to never work with lawyers agin.

Also, the computing system needs to be totally revamped. It's outdated and quite slow at times.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. We are NOT MINIONS.

    Cons

Lots of turnover and constant speculation of layoffs. Morale is low.

    Pros

This might be a decent firm in some ways, but you should seriously consider looking elsewhere if considering a position in marketing.

    Cons

The new CMO has a long history of short stints at many employers. Extremely unprofessional, conflict-creating conduct.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new CMO.

    Pros

    The people are very friendly
    Very flexible with hours.
The space to work in is great.

    Cons

Salary is not market value. The work load is a bit heavy for the title of the position. It should be renamed Accounting Cordinator.

    Advice to Management

hire from within and stop treating the employees as if they are not valuable to your organization.

    Pros

Sirius is in the building -- celebrity sightings.

    Cons

Company doesn't seem to give much regard to staff. Computer systems extremely outdated and frustrating -- crashes, extremely slow response time. Infrastructure clearly not a priority. Moral is a constant concern.
