    Pros

Highly skilled employees are their asset. The company invests in their employees through training and premium workplace environments. Tight community.

    Cons

It'll be great if the SRA Head Office culture could trickle down to the remote offices. lack of fitness or break-room facilities in the remote offices.

    Advice to Management

The SRA leadership has done a phenomenal job in the past. With the recent merger, I hope this doesn't change

    Pros

Most program managers are good to work for and actually do try to help you improve and further your career.

    Cons

Management above the program manager don't care about much other than their pay check and their position within the company. Good luck getting much of anything from them, unless there is a threat of losing the contract. Management talks a lot about engaging their employees, especially those that are working off campus, at client sites, but consistently drop the ball.

There is also a lack of career growth or opportunity for lateral movement if your contract ends. The may tell you that they will find work for you within the company, they may even offer to loan you a few vacation days, but in the end, no one comes through with much of anything real.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Engage with your employees. At the very least, respond to employee phone calls and emails. If anything, just acknowledge that you received it even if you don't provide answers to questions asked. That would at least be a start.

I worked at SRA International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

SRA just got merged with CSC gov. to form a new company called CSRA. I can only speak for SRA before the merger. It is a good company to work for.

    Cons

Again this is before the merger. I can not think of any Con worth mentioning. It was a good company for work for.

    Advice to Management

Continue emphasizing on your most important asset, people. I met some good and professional people there.

I have been working at SRA International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Until my contract and background investigation with another company is complete, SRA pays me a salary.

    Cons

Salaries are not in line with all other contracting firms. There remains bias and discrimination against women. SRA international demands loyalty from employees but provides none in return. Don't get a disabling disease and expect the company to do the right thing. You cost them money and they will find a way to get rid of you. In the 15 years I've worked at SRA I witnessed long time, ultra loyal employees become disabled with SRA providing no assistance to that employee who literally killed themselves on behalf of the company. Thousands of hours of overtime work, brutal hours and stress levels, all mean nothing to SRA management and bottom line profit and stock price. Employees should know this going into SRA and only give what is paid for and no more than that. Very unacceptable.

    Advice to Management

Stop believing your own marketing. I am very involved in marketing and aware of the misleading images SRA projects -- to clients, employees, and the public. Profit drives everything.
