I have been working at SRS Distribution full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work-life balance
    Great culture
    Giving back to the community
    Opportunities to learn new things
Management who cares about its employees

    Cons

Not really downsides/cons, but this company is growing rapidly, so the pace can be tough to keep up with at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue keeping the SRS culture alive and continue to dedicate resources to corporate support roles as the company increases in size. Employees love working at SRS and knowing they will have the resources they need will go a long way with keeping employee morale high.

Thank you so much for your review. Working here for more than 3 years tells us we are doing things right. As we grow, we add employees to each group, but we remain lean at the corporate office. We... More

I worked at SRS Distribution full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overtime available, Great people to work with, Management gives you freedom to employees as long as their doing their job (no micromanagement).

    Cons

Can get a hectic workload if they get backed up. Don't work here if you consider yourself lazy or would rather enjoy waiting on the clock to run out while sitting around.

I have been working at SRS Distribution full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment, ability to buy very aggressive stock in the company, good benefits and 401k, lots of hands on learning, lots of locations in case you need to relocate, and as long as you are hitting budget, you can manage your branch as if it were your own business.

    Cons

Definitely a sink or swim company with all positions which you can consider good or bad. If you are not willing to relocate, you can still move up but it just takes a bit longer. With the rapid growth, it seems like the infrastructure of corporate ( AP, IT, Credit, HR, and Fleet/Safety ) are always trying to play catch up but it really is a game of chicken or the egg. Once we grow you can see corporate adapting and strategically adding new players in the office.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring slow and firing fast to make sure the right people are on the bus. With the right people the bus can go anywhere.

    Pros

    Pros

Different opportunities every day. It's a decentralized business model so you get to get your hands in pretty much every aspect of the business that you want to. I learned a lot over the course of the internship.

    Cons

Depending on location and manager you'll likely do some physical labor. It adds to the experience and is a valuable part of the internship.
