I have been working at SS&C full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People are really friendly here. I enjoy my co-workers and I do not ever mind to go into work, Ive had jobs before this one that I dreaded going into each day, but this one I never feel that negativity. Flexible with working around sudden things that come up if you have to come in late or leave the office for a little. Option to work from home when sick or bad weather so you dont have to take sick days is great. Just overall a good company with great opportunities for its employees. Also very helpful co-workers when teaching me how to use the system,

    Cons

Work hours are difficult. Never guaranteed to get off at a certain time. I've had to cancel plans many times before cause I got stuck over late. It can be very stressful sometimes because of the sheer amount of work that has to be done. It takes a while to learn the system as well.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all the teams working on the same funds or together are evenly splitting up workload. Not one team from one office leaves while the other one always gets stuck with no help.

    Pros

None, except that you learn to appreciate the truly good companies out there, who care about their employee welfare.

    Cons

The CEO has a lot to learn about Employee Relations.

    Advice to Management

I don't even know where to begin. In need of entirely new leadership that actually has a clue how to lead a modern day business.

    I have been working at SS&C full-time

    Pros

    None

all those reviews about good work life balance/ good environment are fake

    Cons

Toxic unhealthy environment. Mangers shift blames for their mistakes or incompetence to lower rank employees. There are plenty of managers who are truly unqualified to do their work. They lack experience and actual knowledge. They throw others under the bus just so they can come out clean of any situation. This company is rotten.

    I worked at SS&C full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people were the best part about the job. Their facilities, at least at my Location were very nice. Eh.

    Cons

I never felt like I was utilizing my degree. Even some of the accountants I worked with felt the same way. It was like pulling teeth to get my manager to train me on new things and it would often get pushed aside. Starting pay is way too low and raises aren't that significant.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate starting pay and relationships between managers and employees should be more critical. Hopefully you'll figure out how to retain new grads longer.
