Good people, unique workplace. Very sales centric and offers rewards for people that do well.

    Cons

Some people are just clocking in and out. Easy to kind of skate by. Kind of a corporate feel.

    Advice to Management

Focus on rewarding good performers more. Appreciate warehouse people more, they make the world go round.

I worked at SSF Imported Auto Parts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Offers benefits and a meager salary.

    Cons

Management is incompetent, and will expect you to take care of their responsibilities. After they realize their neglect, management will then attribute these faults to the hourly employees.

    Advice to Management

Do a thorough audit/review of your current managers and hourly staff and new hires. Continue this throughout employment.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, descent pay, monthly incentive money[not always guaranteed] constant work, benefit package.

    Cons

MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!!!!! Management has no people skills, manager micro-manages EVERYTHING! leads are leads without authority. Manager dislikes when he hears the word "no". Management should REALLY take some management classes as well as leadership skills. Sure he have gotten the position because he's been there for over 20+ years , yet doesn't posses any leadership skill what so ever yet alone have the ability to read at a fifth grade level. Employees are looked down upon A LOT! Employees do not get the recognition when the work gets done. Pay is decent, but employees would like a better yearly raise for the crap employees deal with on a daily basis.

Positions are not well given there. Manager decides who he wants to move up the ladder of success; and who he wants to keep at the bottom. People have to kiss-ass in order to move up rather than earning the position. A way to get on his good list is by, talking about soccer on a daily basis, say yes to him at ALL times, laugh at his corny jokes, and treat him like the "best" manager in the world. He's ALWAYS protected by the higher ups. Employees are constantly painted as the bad guy when trying to speak up of the injustice that goes on in the warehouse, and everything gets flipped against the employee. Seems as if once inside work the freedom of speech and freedom of expression gets thrown out and just be another expense and a number to the company. Employee voices are NOT heard!! If only employees had a voice or somebody who would stand up for the rights of the employees and make their voices heard. That would be great! Guess the company hasn't noticed why the employees are not happy at work or quitting in a heartbeat. Doesn't seem to bother them at all. Doesn't take a rocket science to figure that one out. Company doesn't take time to figure out the problem. The work mood changes drastically when the manager is not present at work. Employees feel as if they are able to breathe and not have somebody breathing down their necks.

Every department points fingers at each other. Nobody takes responsibility for anything. It starts with the management.
People talk SO much crap behind managements/ everybody's back, when given a chance to speak up they don't speak up but rather deny any comments ever being said. Which puts the problem at square one where the employee is made the bad guy.
They ALWAYS contradict themselves by saying "do the work this way" work gets done the way they were told to do and later gets in trouble because it's not working out they way it was thought of at the time, Then people are told to do it the way they were previously doing it. Now it's the employees fault because it didn't work in the first place.

A regular employee can get written up for using their phone if caught, but yet a lead/managers pets can be using their personal phone and get seen by the manager and will not get any repercussions.

Following could use a MAJOR Upgrade:
AS400 system, order pulling, restocking, order pulling carts, MANAGEMENT!

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better. don't treat them as modern slaves[work more, little pay], give them motivation and give them a reason to come to work and do their best everyday. Please don't make it possible where employees to have better odds at wining the lottery than moving up in the company.

Try to upgrade all systems and the way work is done.

Letting employees listen to music but have it at a low minimum can go a long way with employees. Work productivity will improve, guaranteed.

    Pros

The company had great business model concept to expand its market share for long term sustainability. Great individuals who were committed to support the vision.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the economic climate at that time prevented the business model to occur and the owners were seeking an exit strategy to sale the company.

    Advice to Management

The company is now under new management. I hope that the new vision includes the business model concept and retaining key personnel to implement.

    Pros

Decent Pay, some of the employees are nice and friendly. Well known company in the european industry.

    Cons

same as previous poster stated. Management sucks! If you are on the bottom of the ladder you are really looked down upon by all the others. People will try to throw you under the bus so they can walk away scott free. usually the older employees who have been here for a while.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like gold. Especially the lower ranks. MAke it a little more exciting!

    Pros

decent pay, everyone is close and connected.. most of the employees probably got the jobs through eachother. Friendly people but a bit patronizing

    Cons

There is very tedious work. Seems like senior management is only bright enough to keep the company together. The actual work place is a bit gloomy and dead-end seeming.

    Advice to Management

The management should promote people from the bottom and not just higher people who have a degree in management because this type of job calls for onhand knowledge.
