I worked at ST Ericsson - Global full-time

    Pros

When business is good, Ericsson is a fantastic place to work. The salaries are competitive, the benefits top notch and the work is state of the art and challenging. I would recommend the company to anyone who has a chance to work there.

    Cons

Due the fickle nature of the wireless business, layoffs are a bit of a concern with Ericsson. The good thing about it is that they do offer a good severance package. To anyone contemplating a move to Ericsson, I would suggest they do some homework on the longer term prospects of the business.

    Advice to Management

Try go into new business a little more slowly, build the workforce more slowly so when downturns happen, there might be a little better chance of fewer layoffs.

Processes might introduce overhead time to time.
