    Pros

Everything is defined by processes. All processes are defined carefully. You have to get related training on anything before start working on it and trainings are prepared very very careful.

    Cons

Processes might introduce overhead time to time.

    Pros

great engineers at the Austin site. Very hard working people, great products developed and always with a really positive and can do attitude

    Cons

Lots of internal politics, senior management coming from different companies could not work together. kept sites open based on politic only.

    Pros

Interesting products and seemingly cutting edge technology. However I wonder how they will do now that Apple is dominating and the OS market is narrow.

    Cons

I was looking forward to working in a globally competitive company but they closed the offices in RTP just after the merger happened. Personally I think it was part of the plan all along.

    Advice to Management

I'm sure they had good reasons for making the decisions they did and in fairness they gave a lot of notice.

    Pros

People are great. I thought working with Europeans would be somehow difficult, but it has been fine.

    Cons

Just that the company has had such a hard time getting into the market. Many layoffs.

    Good insurance package.

    Cons

    No incentive.
Limited opportunities to grow for employee.
    Lots of IT restrictions.
Lots of engineering processes which engineers need to follow.

    Advice to Management

    Should provide more substantial incentive.

    Pros

Interesting work. Global teams. Trust between peers. Good people to work with. Compasionate treatment during shutdown of affected operations in the USA.

    Cons

Shifting work to low cost countries and loosing competency by choice. Power struggle between the top management of the two companies that form the joint venture: ST and Ericsson. Constant pressure in an ever decreasing project cycle.

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at ST Ericsson - Global full-time

    Pros

It was a true multinational company since three ex-companies were teamed up together. Nice colleagues, good Benefits, excellent engineers.

    Cons

Due to customer-oriented environment, sometimes they had not have work and life balance.
