    Pros

Not much other than benefits. Corporate isn't involved where they should be.

    Cons

HR in Acquisitions leaves a lot to be desired, rude, thinking they are above all. Not very truthful and not trustworthy!! Talk to employees and listen.

    Advice to Management

Take a good look at what is going on. There are always two sides.

    I worked at STERIS full-time

    Pros

    Job security if your competent

    Cons

Do not expect equal treatment if your a minority. Pay is less and opportunities are not the same. Take a look around and see how many people in management positions are people of color. 6 out of my 8 reviews were exceeded expectations and I brought in the most billable revenue for my district.

    Advice to Management

Worked at Steris for 8 years and never broke over 53k . New company in same area for similar work offered 80k starting. Meanwhile other employees made way more. When trying to apply for Associate DSM position interviewer acted uninterested and distracted. Actually heard her shuffling papers in the background. Stop treating your employees like criminals and respect the value they add to the company. Pay them appropriately and people who have great yearly reviews should be considered for new opportunities.

I worked at STERIS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Stable employment. Predictable schedule. Good home life balance. I worked there for over 15 years advanced pretty far. Employees are treated well.

    Cons

Once you are high enough in the food chain, it gets very political. If your allies fallout of favor it gets cold. Employees who have been there 20 plus years keep hoping for the good ole days of 30% raises and perks of when it was a small company. Then complain that the company got rid of the sporting event suites.

    Advice to Management

Bring the headquarters back to Mentor. You moved to it technically to the UK to avoid taxes. Pretty un American.

I worked at STERIS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    They equip their technicians well.
Certain regions would be very good to work for depending on the district manager.
As a field service technician, you are recognized as income generator and supported and recognized as such.
    Prefers to promote from within.
Company car and gas card available for personal use.

    Cons

Lots of disparity between regions, hearing from other technicians about the style of management they are under leads employees to the conclusion that more is available, but their manager doesn't care to make it available to their territory. Your mileage will vary greatly depending on your region.

    Advice to Management

Be more particular when hiring district management.
