I have been working at SThree full-time

    Pros

Uncapped commission so you can make a lot of money but it does take hard work. Also, the company is a good time, in and out of the office lots of fun people.

    Cons

Little bit of an immature culture but definitely moving in the right direction. Internal systems aren't the best. Too strict about 8:00am start time, especially when people consistently work late.

I have been working at SThree full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent commission scheme & it is relatively easy to get paychecks upwards of $10k, $15k, $20k+. Excellent company culture & amazing incentives.

    Cons

Like any sales role, there are ups & downs with performance. Work/life balance is tough when you start, but once you're up & running, it improves.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be transparent about changes & company strategies - it helps keep employees engaged.

    Pros

I have worked for the company for a number of years. The company has a unique culture, and a real drive to achieve. So many great people who really want to make the company successful.

    Cons

Can be a tough job for trainees as the market is competitive. But for those who are willing to apply themselves and think long term, there are really good career opportunities, globally.

    Advice to Management

Keep developing the company for the future

I have been working at SThree full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Competitive salaries
    - Great people
    - A solid CSR strategy
    - Benefits are improving all the time
    - The company genuinely puts the time and effort into helping individuals build their career within the business

    Cons

The company was established in 1986 and sometimes you can really tell - it's a corporate entity that sometimes struggles to catch on to new ideas, although the CSR team are doing a fantastic job of drilling diversity and other contemporary ideals into the company. The slow pace of progress is really down to the individuals who have been with the company for years who don't like change. In the 2.5 years I've been with the company I've seen a lot of positive changes, so I've found that even slow-paced corporate cultures will respond if you hang in there and keep making noise for change.

    Advice to Management

Ditch the dinosaurs - the company is making rapid progress at joining the 21st century but there's still a lot of work to be done and there are still enough stale-male-pale suits in positions of power, making key decisions. They don't have the answers the business needs.

    Pros

    Great training
    Fun environment
    Some talented people
    Excellent client base
    Good reputation
    Excellent City Location
Have recently introduced flexible working for senior consultants

    Cons

Benefits package could be improved (i.e Introduce a competitive pension, re introduce the decommissioned car scheme for all, buy-sell holiday)

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at SThree full-time

    Pros

This is a successful company with big aspirations, dozens of offices around the world and some really neat systems to make it easy to get the job done. They have a strong home-grown management team which means a lot of detailed knowledge of the company and a strong sense of pride in results.
They make a big effort to train new recruits, particularly those working in the recruitment roles. There is a 'work hard play hard' culture which means regular incentive lunches for those who do well, plus weekends away and big annual trips as well as a genuinely epic Christmas party.

    Cons

It can be quite a cynical environment, both in the way it thinks about and treats employees and also in the way it talks about customers. With a high number of young employees there can be a lack of focus on quality although this is something the company is working very hard to overcome.
The home-grown leadership can lead to lack of ability to change.

    Pros

Sthree hire great people that make the working culture fun. It caters to different cultures and really believes in its company values. It invest in excellent resources such as LinkedIn Recruiter and 3rd party agents to help with candidate acquisition

    Cons

Its not a cut throat environment however it is very KPI/ numbers driven. Often management take a short sighted approached to change.

    Advice to Management

Provider a longer term approach, understand the lead times of a sale and manage consultant accordingly. Provider motivation leadership.

I have been working at SThree full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture, lot's of fun incentives, and everyone is really friendly, so lot's of socialising. Lot's of buzz in the offices, and often dress down days, and themed days. It's work hard play hard, so it can be long hours, but the commission is worth it.
Progression is clearly set out, and gives you something to work towards.

    Cons

Nothing much to mind... Always room for improvement, so the basics could be higher, but I would say they are in-line with the current market.

I have been working at SThree full-time

    Pros

Good management, compensation structure, company culture, training program, and opportunities for growth.

Would highly recommend both non-experienced and experienced consultants to apply

    Cons

The company is still up and coming so the data base is not so extensive. Only focusing on IT and Life Sciences at this time.

    Advice to Management

Put in the maximum effort into developing all employees of all different levels and background and stay late when needed.
