I have been working at SThree full-time

    Pros

Uncapped commission so you can make a lot of money but it does take hard work. Also, the company is a good time, in and out of the office lots of fun people.

    Cons

Little bit of an immature culture but definitely moving in the right direction. Internal systems aren't the best. Too strict about 8:00am start time, especially when people consistently work late.

I have been working at SThree full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent commission scheme & it is relatively easy to get paychecks upwards of $10k, $15k, $20k+. Excellent company culture & amazing incentives.

    Cons

Like any sales role, there are ups & downs with performance. Work/life balance is tough when you start, but once you're up & running, it improves.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be transparent about changes & company strategies - it helps keep employees engaged.

I have been working at SThree full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The great thing about Sthree Singapore is that it's a fantastic place to learn Recruitment. Outside of training by the Training team, managers, seniors in the business are extremely helpful in giving you hands-on advise. Help and advice is always offered, and not just to associates but at all levels.

Sthree is excellent at recognizing and investing in Talent. If you are going through a rough patch, they are patient enough to guide you to the right results and help you achieve real results (as opposed to other agencies which show you the door with very little patience).

    Cons

It's a younger, high energy environment filled with lots of outgoing folks. Hence some might find it hard to adjust to the teams to based on first impressions. However in general, assimilation is not a problem as long as you are making a little bit of an effort.

The informal and relaxed communication flow between management and the teams could be a but of a culture shock to some people.

    Advice to Management

Fact is Sthree is at the end of the day, still a recruitment consultancy. There is going to be pressure, occasional micromanagement (esp of you are falling behind targets) and pressure around KPIs.

But a recruitment career in Sthree yields more and more results, the longer you stay. The longer you stick around, the better you get at your job, and the more Independence you have to make things happen the way you see fit. (Also pays well!)

    Pros

A successful business with talented people at all levels. Great training. Good managers. Great celebration of success and amazing incentives for top performers.

Strong and believable intentions to fix the cultural challenges that have existed for longer than I've worked here. Clear signs of change in and outside the workplace

    Cons

SThree needs to shrug off the image of money obsessed recruiters from 5/10/20 years ago and accept that not everyone wants the same things

    Advice to Management

Identify the people who are stuck in the past and replace them with people who understand what people want from their job nowadays

    Pros

Culture of this business is changing in a good way. Have been here through some fairly substantial management changes and I can honestly say I think it's going in the right direction under respected leadership. Good training and development and I genuinely feel my career is being supported. A good company to go to if you are just starting out in Sydney.

    Cons

Full on hours and a pressure to make the $$$. Like a lot of recruiters- work hard and play hard.

    Advice to Management

Flexibility in working hours could be better.
