    Pros

Wonderful Senior Leadership that have really made the department an admired one on campus. The Department is a well-oiled machine.

    Cons

If you're coming from NYC, the surrounding city is pretty dead. Prepared to live the job because the most exciting place near you is Syracuse and that's a 45 minute drive.

I have been working at SUNY Oswego (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a great opportunity to learn while learning. Working on campus also is a great way to network and uncover people who can help in the job force beyond graduation. Who doesn't like getting paid while learning anyway?

    Cons

The wages are low because it is a sate funded organization. Sometimes work can get in the way of school work but other than that everything is grand.

    Advice to Management

Modern up. There is alot about SUNY Oswego that is becoming out dated and can be modernized to make the University much more efficient.

    Pros

Student workers are welcome to open positions and the knowledge and skills I took away from this job are valued and will serve me for years to come.

    Cons

The only downside is if you are a social person sometimes you don't get enough face time with other people and are working alone a lot. For others this could be a pro

    Advice to Management

I have no complaints about my time here

I have been working at SUNY Oswego part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Allows me to create a rapport with many different students and faculty members. This position has also taught me how to remain organized in stressful situations.

    Cons

Sometimes there is not much work to be done as a desk attendant, which can make for a slow and uneventful shift.

    Advice to Management

Be able to provide employees with more flexible shifts - even though they I am working for you I am also a full time student taking 23 credit hours in my undergrad degree and have mountains of homework to complete.

I worked at SUNY Oswego part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great staff- most of the art department is always willing to help. Cynthia Clabough is extremely helpful, dedicated, and always goes above and beyond for the students. The graphic design department and the art department are so wonderful and filled with professors who really care and want students to succeed

    Cons

Winters are cold, sometimes it's difficult to agree with administration, I wish there were more chances to take classes out of major.
