I worked at SUNY Oswego part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of student workers, so there was a good community in the office. There was always someone available to ask questions to.

    Cons

There was a lot of office drama and politics that I felt caused unnecessary road blocks in certain tasks.

    Advice to Management

Keep your personal problems out of the office.

I worked at SUNY Oswego (More than a year)

    Pros

Some good students, nice campus, friendly colleagues, lower Summer expectations

    Cons

Stuck in the past, little support for innovation, older faculty have power to prevent new faculty from improving on any methods.

    Advice to Management

Please try to better support new faculty in a real way. All the "mentoring" is completely ignored on the ground. Senior faculty need time to support junior faculty. They have enough to do!

    Advice to Management

Banned the 3 strikes rule, our priorities is getting our degrees, things happened.
