Relative to other companies, SVU's compensation packages are extremely competitive. Additionally, in my experience management was very open to bottom-up ideation, despite the rather hierarchical nature of the organization.
Extremely and overly consensus-based. Decisions-by-committee, which made the process of enacting any sort of change or action very bogged-down and bureaucratic.
Advice to Management
Need better communication of strategies from upper management. Lack of communication often lead to confusion as to the desired direction for the company, and hence individual business units.
