I worked at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed working at Sykes mostly because of the flexibility of the schedules. Working at Sykes with the best training, you will be very successful within weeks of production. The staff members at Sykes were very helpful as well. Sykes also had many opportunities for advancement throughout the company.

    Cons

I dont have any cons for Sykes.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

I worked at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

work from home, don't have to worry about travel expenses and wardrobe.

    Cons

isolated, company doesn't reimburse or cover the cost of your internet, wired phone, sick days, holidays

    Advice to Management

Would be nice if the programs are closed on a holiday to have it a paid holiday. When agent moves to another program which was not their choice - pay should be the same. Contribute something toward home office expenses.

I worked at SYKES full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The tasks of the job are not physically demanding and the environment in which they are preferred is reasonably comfortable.

    Cons

Lack of employee development and minimal advancement opportunities, unrealistic expectations from senior management and corporate leaders, extremely high pressure to conduct transactions and sell products without sufficient time or resources allocated for the tasks. Questionable morality in trying to use high pressure sales techniques to manipulate customers into purchasing additional products and services regardless of the circumstances

    Advice to Management

Have more integrity, invest more in your employees, instead of worrying about your own bonuses, restore agent level opportunities for anual merit based pay raises that have been frozen for over 5 years. Have more respect for the backbone of your organization your frontline employees.
