    Pros

When you first apply they give you the motivational speech concerning opportunity for promotions, but that is only half the story. Politics is a huge impact on promotion potential. Play the game, get the promotion.

    Cons

Unqualified supervisors. Incompetence is rampant here, no respect for management.

    Advice to Management

Have real standards for positions of authority. Does education matter?

    Pros

My supervisor was terrific!! Loved my co-workers. Benefits.

    Cons

Paid-time off. Considerations for urgent situations. When the company makes a change the senior management of the site is not very understanding towards the employees that have been working for the company since it first opened. The upper management will not work with you even if you have been a loyal employee with perfect attendance over two years! The upper management speaking of the ones that actually run the site are not compatonate what so ever.

    Advice to Management

If you expect a company to survive and to thrive successfully you have to treat your employees the same way that you expect them to treat you and the customers that they serve. Don't forget that the employees are the biggest part of a company and without us you wouldn't have a job!!! Also you are right there is someone else that will be there to take the place of one that no longer has their position but if you fire everyone (because the turnover rate is high) there will be no one else to hire.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff. Reasonable hours of operation.

    Cons

Not enough lunch time allocated for each representative. Unreasonable in reference to employee's needs to take off for a doctor's appt. or a sick child.

    Advice to Management

Human resources department should pay more and hire responsible adults for better quality in the work force, maybe then they can treat each individual better. Offer necessary time off for Doctor visits, and at least 45 min. for lunch.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get at least 40 hours a week.

    Cons

Seniority doesn't count when being looked at for other positions within the site. At this particular site some one from outside the site could be hired in a higher position that you put in for.

    Advice to Management

To work closer with the team members they have and listen to what they have to say the representatives on the phones are the ones who knows what is going to be better for them.

I worked at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is alright and you never have to work overnights. You get breaks and a lunch and the job is easy.

    Cons

If you go one minute over on a break you get wrote up. If you miss a day and don't make it up that same week you get another write up.

I worked at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, considering you sit and talk all day. Nice coworkers for the most part.

    Cons

Strict, sometimes stupid policies and rules. A lot of childish drama and stuff, but that's probably everywhere.

    Pros

Good people; great location(s); great presence in the community; great services to customers; great benefits.

    Cons

If Sykes had a necromancer on their payroll, they would have no problem working you to death, reviving you and then working you to death again.

    Advice to Management

Focus on work/life balance. Expand your flex commute options.

I worked at SYKES full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to work from home office. Benefits were not too bad and the people I worked with were a good team.

    Cons

Some of the Sr. Management is taking on more than they can handle and do not have time for their teams. They all tend to be extremely stressed out and too busy.

    Advice to Management

Hire better leaders that are good with people and developing them with a positive approach. Stop wasting money on unnecessary traveling.
