I have been working at SYKES (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing here is good BE WARE OF THis place don't waste ur time here.. The only reason I'm telling everyone cuz I don't want honest people to waste there time with these jokesters.. Far as I know idk why people even sighn up for there cc cuz they treat there employees like dogs ur just a number to Sykes

    Cons

Ever since I started with Sykes (capital one) I have been lied to about position after 3 days and they wonder why there's a turn over rate.. I tried 4 times to talk to hr to tell them about what's going one out on the floor and every single person hasn't ever made me my appointment and are still trying to hide the fact that they ant following capital ones police and proceeders that are clearly stated in the hand book.. The Boise Sykes is a joke don't work there unless u like to be treated like **** by team leads and higher up employes at Boise sykes.. I will be contacting capital one to make sure the owner knows what's going one. Its really not right when they threaten to fire u over something u don't have power over ant right.. If ur abouthurting people work at Boise Sykes (capital one). U honestly don't even have a chance here. They threaten to fire u before they even tell u anything is wrong which is wrong and ant suppose to happen like that but qa and most the TLS don't even do there job but put u down and tell u that u have issues and u need to leave.. This place is a joke show.. If u love being treated like crap and lied to work here it's for u.. If ur honest person and follow by the rules this job ant for u cuz they will fire u if u try to tell them that there in the wrong exspically when it's in the handbook they still don't follow it nor do they care

    Advice to Management

They need to actually see the real problems and need to stop trying to cover each other's back because they know that they messed up. U guys need to actually listen to the employs on what's going on and follow police's that's why capital one made then for reasons. Not to follow then ounce in awhile and then when capital one employees leave it's a dog show again.. U guys shouldn't even be in business how bad u treat people here. And I'm going to tell everyone and write the owners of this company cuz it needs to stop.

    Pros

    Great Team Coaches

    Cons

Depending company you may not get any time. My last assignment I worked less then 10 hours a week. Some days I would work 30 minutes but was guaranteed full time hours.

    Advice to Management

Slim down the workforce with clients so employees can get hours.

I have been working at SYKES part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. The support from the coaches is outstanding and can't be beaten.

    Cons

    1. Downside is the schedule is hard to change
    2. There really is no chance of raises unless you move up with a position

    Advice to Management

Listen to your agents more. We are telling you what we need but sometimes it feels as though we are just speaking into a black hole. We also need more raises.

    Pros

    Working from home
Portable if you move from one location to another
Will pay you hourly not per call
    Has room for advancement

    Cons

Training is iffy; spent a lot of training hours listening to trainers fixing other students problems--some people did not receive equipment or passwords in a timely fashion
Promised 20-30 hours per week--actually received 13-15 (except between Thanksgiving and Christmas) but you were still required to be available to them 42 1/2 per week making it difficult to get a second job
"Support" consisted of typing questions into a chat room window and hoping someone saw the question, read it properly and answered it correctly. Support reps often couldn't answer questions so you were supposed to tell customers to go to dot com or that the issue was "still being researched" inadequate answers that left customers frustrated and you on the receiving end of this frustration. There was also some sort of online support document that was difficult to search.
Software was out of date. Soft phone was problematic and often went down and dropped calls
One of the worst jobs I've ever had. Worked seasonal for Hallmark and was then offered a job for Frontier Communications which has some of the worst customer service reviews I've ever read. Gave up on this company and moved on.

    Advice to Management

Offer adequate training to your employees and make sure your support reps are able to not so overwhelmed that they cannot answer questions properly. Make your hiring process less like an assembly line
