    I worked at SYKES full-time

    Pros

    - you learn a lot about dealing with people and managing rude, annoying and mostly unmanageable people
    - depending on the account you're on, you can learn things about newest products and technologies

    Cons

    - payment was low, with few benefits
    - always understaffed = too many calls per agent
    - training doesn't really prepare you for what's coming once you're on the line
    - breaks timed to the second
    - I got really sick (because of the job) could barely speak and was coughing very badly and was still forced to take calls
    - team leaders not understanding at all

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    Working from home, no traveling.

    Cons

Expectations were based on the software the client had that the at home agents did not. Process steps were much more lengthy and involved which directly reflected on the call times required by the client.

    Advice to Management

Favoritism has no fair place in the workplace.
