I worked at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place for those that need a job that pays above minimum wage with full time hours and benefits. I was lucky and through networking was able to secure an entry level IT position since they like to hire from within which has jump started my career right out of college.

    Cons

But they are at the mercy of the client which can make things very difficult for those at the local level. Any cons related to a call center are present here.

    Advice to Management

Pay more. Reward your top performers so that they stay. Attrition is unreal because people feel undervalued. Corporate can pay for the client and their executives to have lunch every day when they visit a call center but nobody can get any form of raise unless its an incentive tied to a metric. And they do not even stick to their word when initiating incentives.

    Pros

    The Pay
    Overtime
    The benefits are good.

    Cons

They only promote who they want and not who's qualified.
They promote ppl to positions straight out of training.
No room for "regular" agents to advance.
THEY DONT WORK WITH SCHOOL SCHEDULES.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on who's best fit for the role, not who you know.

I worked at SYKES part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work from Home with great support and training.

    Cons

Very fast paced, continual calls and talking non-spot for an 8 hour shift.

    Advice to Management

Good Company but pay needs to be better and part time employees use to have partial benefits that are important like vision and dental now with new provider prices are up and no longer eligible unless *an average* of 30 hours a week.
