    Pros

The pay and hours if you do not have a family are great.

    Cons

If you have a family it doesn't really work out for your schedule. And asking for a schedule change took weeks to be approved.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work at home, a real work at home job

    Cons

The company is not ran well. Management is incompetent. If you are not constantly covering yourself they will try to fire you off a program. The "team leads" try to only cover themselves and they also will lie to try to make you look bad or get you fired. Troubleshooting consoles is by far the worst program to be on. The client expect the moon and stars and definitely only paying enough for thunder and rain. They need to pay a salary of way more for what they are expecting you to do. It's swap meet pay and they should be embarrassed to pay it. When it's time for a pay raise they try to do everything not to give it to you. They dicriminate towards women and other races. Customers seem to do it on the phones as well through surveys. All of this is accepted and they see no problem with it. I think they have been doing it too long.

    Advice to Management

Hire people that are qualified to do the job. Pay your employees more for all the work that you expect them to do. Treat people how you would want to be treated instead of trying to get rid of them for any reason. Give management the same expectations you give to employees and just maybe they would do a better job.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work at home is the only one

    Cons

The company is a terrible one to work for. The management is horrible. They try to fire you for any reason and if you don't fight for yourself they will definitely try to let you go. The management will lie about things to cover themselves and they only worry about themselves. The program troubleshooting consoles is far the worst program ever. The pay is low. They want you to give them the moon and stars and they pay you with thunder and rain. They discriminate against races. They customers also do it on the surveys. they've been doing these practices so long that they think they can get away with it and its okay.

    Advice to Management

Get better management. Pay your people more. Get better benefits. Treat people how you want to be treated. Stop the discrimination

I have been working at SYKES part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ability to work from home. I used to enjoy working for them but my current program is so bad, I am looking for new employment.

    Cons

Programs are poorly run, QA's are inaccurate, they cheat you on tech pay, my current team lead is really bad at communicating and responding to you, if she bothers to at all, and senior management isn't very good either, they lose programs because of it, and training is insufficient to say the least.

    Advice to Management

Some team leads are unqualified for the position, and some programs are so bad, like my current one, no one stays very long. Senior management is not very good and you lose programs because of it. You also should know some positions need much more than a week or so of training, and you need better trainers. People make mistakes because they are not adequately trained.

    Pros

work from home, dont need to use your own pc

    Cons

work from home (kills your social life and network opportunities), pay is garbage, back to back to back calls, company lies to you constantly, scheduling is 24/7, you work 10 hour shifts but they schedule you 5 days a week still, lots of lies and misrepresentations, company is very unethical.

    Advice to Management

pay more and you will get a better quality of employee and not have so much turnover.
