    Flexible scheduling
    Paid 5 week training
    Unlimited overtime

    Cons

    Commissions are paid from the client directly to Sykes and then the company disperses the funds however they see fit.
    Unprofessional work environment
    Heavy focus on sales rather than improving customer service
    Little to no advancement opportunity

    gives you the opportunity to learn customer service

    the pay is low , managment is horrible,the site i worked for was infested with bed bugs and they did nothing about it.

    the forth smith site needs all new managment because the turn over rate is so high because of all the craziness that goes on there.

    job is not very demanding
    talking to and helping people

    Cons

    shift hours subject to change without much notice
    poor communication from management
    supervisors give you different answers when you ask a question
    training is poorly organized and ill prepares you for the actual job

    better communication with the people you put in charge for floor support

    I have been working at SYKES part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Sykes provided a small computer to work from home. Had a post-it note that had "Alpine2" and "-3bears8Porridge" on it . If you use that to sign on your able to use the computer for regular stuff. Very handy if your computer is broken.

    Cons

    Pay is not very good and sometimes its hard to get the hours you need

    Pros

    Working from home, no traveling.

    Cons

    Expectations were based on the software the client had that the at home agents did not. Process steps were much more lengthy and involved which directly reflected on the call times required by the client.

    Advice to Management

    Favoritism has no fair place in the workplace.

    Pros

    the job itself is easy, when you don't get bombarded with so many calls from different lines of business. they do participate in employee appreciation week and that's actually really nice, about the only time Adrienne is ever nice (not pushing it) and when they do the cookouts it's also nice, shows a bit of appreciation.

    Cons

    it's like jail lol... the manager is literally a dictator, she is not a leader by any means, and everyone else is just her minion. if it weren't for her, it'd be an awesome place to work tbh. plus, the hours suck.

    Advice to Management

    learn to manage!
