I have been working at SYKES part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. The support from the coaches is outstanding and can't be beaten.

    Cons

    1. Downside is the schedule is hard to change
    2. There really is no chance of raises unless you move up with a position

    Advice to Management

Listen to your agents more. We are telling you what we need but sometimes it feels as though we are just speaking into a black hole. We also need more raises.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team, lots of support from Team Coaches and Team Leads
Good shifts and full time hours after you have worked for about a year you will average 40 hrs a week and opportunities for OT at certain times of the year
    Able to work from home

    Cons

The pay is not good. Pay is based on hours worked not for knowledge or performance unless you are able to advance to another position.

    Advice to Management

Pay for performance instead of hours worked. New hires are making the same as agents who are multi skilled and have been at Sykes for over a year with no raise.

    Pros

The pay and hours if you do not have a family are great.

    Cons

If you have a family it doesn't really work out for your schedule. And asking for a schedule change took weeks to be approved.

Sykes is a good company. They have benefits and offer lots of different options for work at home jobs. Instructors during training are very competent and patient and training is paid. You do have a bit of flexibility when it comes to your schedule.

    Cons

Pay is kind of low, but it depends on what company you service.

I worked at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, decent number of hours & able to pick up more.
Team Leaders I came in contact with were great. They had a sense of humor!

    Cons

when call volume drops I didn't get transferred to another client, I was laid off.

    Advice to Management

Start transferring people to other clients when call volume drops so they don't have to worry so much about paying bills.
