I worked at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work at Home, Peers and Lower Management were mostly quite friendly. Good onboard training program.

    Cons

Minimal Salary, No direct Supervisor (Group Supv Team), Treated as a Number. Room for advancement for very few. If you are lowest on the metrics and call volume is low you will be told to leave for the day.

    Advice to Management

Company hires bulk employee groups in which to weed down drastically by high production and quality standards. Management should rethink there current practices.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Fähige Mitarbeiter besser zu fördern und Ihnen fachlich sowie finanziell Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten zu verschaffen.

I worked at SYKES (More than a year)

    Pros

No commute/ No scam/ Actual Job/ Direct Deposit. They have multiple contracts with different companies. Easy to get hired on.

    Cons

Support can be limited and hard to get sometimes. There are no pay raises. They will let you go if you get a seasonal position and tell you they will find you more work but it takes forever.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better with your employees and give the pay raises they deserve. Please make it easy to transfer jobs within the company.

I worked at SYKES part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company works with reputable clients, Easy going atmosphere wth great coworkers, good health coverage even for PT workers, nice location and surroundings, comfortable breakroom with wide selection of vended food,

    Cons

All employees are considered PT (even if working a full 40 hr week) unless they are in a management position thus limiting pay and vacation benefits. If you understand this when you’re hired then you will be fine. No easy access to public transportation.

    Advice to Management

Lower level management is challlenged with time consuming tasks that take away from personal interaction with subordinates thus reducing individual performance of reps and loyalty to the success of the program/company.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers are fun to talk to. Even though we aren't allowed to use cell phones, we all do and our management doesn't care since they know we all use phones when they're not in the room anyway.

    Cons

Two years here and I have to quit because they never approve my time off requests. And the salaried manager can't help because the scheduling team is in the Philippines! I have to call out when I need a day off (after requesting the day off many weeks in advance). Because the days off aren't approved, I have to quit before I get fired for absenteeism. Yet there are several people that work with me that can call out whenever they want because of family or medical issues.

    Advice to Management

Approve employee time off. There are 3 call centers for our client. Ours is the worst for call outs because they don't approve time off. We have a time off request system and everything is declined!

I have been working at SYKES full-time

    Pros

Sitting at home, you can't beat that.

    Cons

Some programs barely had a supervisor present but they had 11 different people listening to phone calls. Didn't make sense!

    Advice to Management

Before you promote someone please check and make sure you listen to how they train. Some trainers were rude and tried to down talk people.

    Pros

They have a great training program, friendly staff and a lot of room for advancement. I love the hours, the bonus structure and the opportunity to work overtime.

    Cons

I don't have any cons. There were a few on-boarding hiccups for a couple of my classmates during my training class but they were resolved quickly and effectively.

    Advice to Management

You're all doing a great job! Keep up the good work!
