I worked at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working from the comfort of ones own home.

    Cons

The pay is not comparable. The company will stress all the ny you are saving with wfh but most positions start at $9 an hour. There is no vacation or pto. You can take time off but it is unpaid. When calls are slow, people are forced to log out thus more unpaid. No reimbursement for internet and phone. If you were to work directly for the companies, you would get $4-$5 more an hour plus holidays, benefits, pto, reimbursement for internet, phone, etc.

    Advice to Management

Adjust your per call margin profit and pay people a fair wage.

    I worked at SYKES full-time

    Pros

Work in the comfort of your own home.

    Cons

Update on their CRM tools is a joke, the technical support team they have is a joke. I didn't get paid for some of the hours I troubleshoot with them even if I communicated closely with my superior.

I worked at SYKES full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at Alpine Access, which has now become Sykes, for about a year and a half, and I had a great experience. Training lasted about a month, something I appreciated as they take the time to ensure you know what you should before you go on the phones. I started strictly answering inbound calls and was asked to transition to email along with calls. The only negative is the low pay.

    Cons

The only con is the low salary

They were pretty considerate to any concerns that I had. Team leaders and coaches were actively involved. Guaranteed, on-time pay. Plenty of overtime when it is available. Paid training. Bonus opportunities.

    Cons

Calls back-to-back at times. Forced to work through constant system issues and sometimes not reimbursed for loss work time.

    Pros

Working from home was really nice.

    Cons

High deductable with insurance, 401K, and taxes makes it very hard to make a living at $9.75 an hour. Must work 3000 hours to get a $.15cent raise.
