    Pros

Things are always changing, embrace the change.

    Cons

Management is unprofessional and there is no real system in place in some departments.

    Advice to Management

Take a true look at management and how they treat their employees

    I worked at SYNNEX full-time

    Pros

Great place to start out if you are single
Some managers are better than others

    Cons

The supervisors should not be supervisors because not only do they never know anything but are extremely rude. The teamwork was not visible at all , not a lot of promotions, constant layoffs, always having to do more with less. Managers are pushy, commanding, and essentially terrible at their job. No advancement opportunity. Most of the staff are over worked, very underpaid and have little or no Senior Management support. There is not much room for advancement, nor is any one encouraged to do so. This company seems to be more about the numbers in this transition and care less about proper job title/responsibilities/salary alignments. I wish they all had similar style of training and work ethics. Not everyone get recognized for the work they do. Dept. managers favor only those involve in brown nosing.

    Advice to Management

So I want you to think about this right now and ask yourself if some of your best leaders are using gossip, rumours, exclusion, favouritism and, unbeknownst to you, creating divisions in your ranks. Do you hear the water cooler gossip? Do you hear rumblings about employee unhappiness under a boss who you thought was great? Is their diva behaviour, for example, going on that causes others to react negatively? Remember, there are those leaders who have the right attitude towards others and have a team that’s consistently happy because they use fairness. In your organization, you can be sure that you have inclusive leaders and some of those bullying leaders who use exclusivity to divide and conquer. Can you afford to let those disguised leaders exclude and take away from your bottom line? Putting this on your radar screen will save you a significant amount of grief and money.

I worked at SYNNEX full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They reward employees. Trips, food, swag. I had a great manager that really made this experience awesome.

    Cons

Cons are working in cubicals, and of course having to hit an unrealistic number in sales. But if you work hard, stay on the phones and make your outbounds (in other words, you try), then you'll be just fine.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to work 4 ten hour shifts. (This was my primary reason for leaving.) This company could make it work and I believe that it would increase productivity. Have team members select a set day off. This would work with 3 man+ teams. I know this is something that would be have to be dealt with my other people than the sales managers, but just wanted to bring it out. My family life and spirituality are more important to me than my job, which is why I needed that extra day off during the week. Thanks for a great couple of years at SYNNEX.

I have been working at SYNNEX full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's traditional whole sales business and very stable business, the management team is very good and people don't feel so much pressure.

    Cons

It's not IT driven company although ERP is the core function for this company. Business process is not well defined and IT doesn't look like "IT", it's more IT support.

    Advice to Management

Let technical people to handle IT problem rather than business. Business define their requirement and IT need to implement the requirements rather than business define how IT implement the requirements.
