I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

This review is for Saatchi & Saatchi LA/Dallas. Stable relationship with the client brings security and ability to focus on the work. Lots of social/fun activities. Special attention is paid to the needs of employees who have young children. If empire building is your goal, there is plenty of land to grab.

    Cons

Old school thinking. Consistent lack of resources or funding to do anything the right way. Client values speed above all else. If you want to do deep, high-quality work, this is not the place for that. Then there are the cliques and the hook-ups. Don’t be fooled by the slick new office space. This agency lives in the Mad Men era of advertising. Executives who know nothing about modern marketing? Check. Employees having affairs on business trips? Check. Creatives throwing hissy fits in meetings? Check. Sneaking out of the office in the middle of the day to go to the beach? Making up fake closed-door meetings to get drunk? Making a pass at coworkers during company social events? Check, check, and check. All this happens right under HR’s nose. Higher-ups would rather turn a blind eye than actually address the sleazy high-school culture that’s come to permeate every aspect of how the company operates. Their idea of fostering a healthy work environment is to make up a list of clichéd “values” and tout them at every all-hands meeting without ever really holding anyone to those values. The real “value” here is simply to schmooze your way to the top. People pleasers can (and do) cruise to retirement.

    Pros

There is good process in place and it helped me build a solid foundation. The work isn't sexy or exciting but it's consistently good.

A lot of silos throughout departments and that can make it difficult to get things done in a timely manner.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Amazing co-workers, amazing opportunities,

    Cons

Merging all the agencies to operate solely under Publicis was great way to line the pockets of high level executives while treating regular employees like garbage.
