I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Saatchi & Saatchi is an international firm that teaches you how the big advertising brands work. You can meet interesting people there and learn alot from them.
You will be involved with a few projects that work on different medias like TV, outdoor, print and
be part of different teams that will allow you to see how the industry works.

It is a good agency to have in your resume. They have good connections everywhere and a big name that everybody knows.

    The schedules are good.

    Cons

Saatchi & Saatchi is a big corporate firm. It means that you will feel a little cold when you are interning there.

Depending when you get into the agency and the level of progress the project is in, you will be able to feel involved in or feel a little disconnected.

    Pros

Decent benefits and my pay was excellent as an employee onsite with the client (I hear they're not as great if you work from the office).

    Cons

The disorganization on the team was embarrassing to witness and to be associated with. It seems even unfair calling it a team since it was really just a group of people serving the same client but at complete odds with each other. There was no teamwork to speak of. No professional development. No work/life balance. Management was unsupportive, and they were clearly navigating a sinking ship. I would strongly caution anyone about taking employment here. I was promised a lot of great sounding things that never materialized.

    Advice to Management

Humble yourself. Your arrogance comes across to the client. Also, cultivate teamwork. Feeling undermined by your team when you're trying to manage difficult and complex projects is disheartening and infuriating.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, fun work environment. The team is a lot of fun and comprised of very smart people.

    Cons

Terrible misogynistic management. Complaints are not taken seriously, male counterparts are favored in every sense of business, and women are called sexist names when asked to sell work to a client. Work was mediocre at best because of all the yes-men.

    Advice to Management

Don't make people go to HR once a month. Provide opportunities for creatives to be creative rather than recycling the same crap once a month.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

a few really smart people and big accounts to boost your resume
the experience really depends on the clients you work on
exposure and opportunity to work with C-level execs on a daily basis

    Cons

some employees are egocentric and difficult to work with, no formal reviews, lack of process and understanding of responsibilities across teams, no work/life balance, overworked and exhausted staff, insanely high turnover and no backfill on junior and mid-level positions that suffer the most

    Advice to Management

Hire junior and mid-level employees, add formal review process, reward those that perform well or you will continue to lose them
