I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I found the folks at SSW to be some of the smartest, dedicated, and creative-driven people I've worked with. Oh and the place is friendly with none of the ego-driven behavior you can encounter at other agencies.

    Cons

There are more restrictions on what you can say with pharma and wellness clients compared to CPG clients. But that just makes you think harder!

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to boast to the outside world about SSW. It's a great agency.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of allowance to lead the project
    No Micromanagement
    Good Mentors
HR and Direct Manager truly care about you an your well being.
Exceptional Benefits Package ( rare to find at agency companies )
    Very generous time off.

    Cons

Big corporate firm syndrome. Some messages get lost a bit, do to a sheer size of the Publicis Network. Slower to catch up with digital trends. Waterfall effect in project management system is a bit antiquated. It would be good to start to experiment with agile, scrum and other sprint methodologies to speed up the flow of the assignment for everyone on the team.

    Advice to Management

I feel some employees fall through the cracks; while others work very late.
I did not always understand the brief fully. Something to kindly consider of making insights easier to understand for bigger idea conceptualization.

For creative management. Will there be a system or technique of how to properly kick off a concepting session? It would be great for Jr. Art Directors to learn, and for SSW to get most out of their valuable assets which is their employees.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great PTO, work/life balance. Good benefits.

    Cons

Has a very corporate feel. No culture. Finance Management is unprofessional, very inappropriate discussions and gossip. Not very good leadership or people you’d like to think of as mentors. Inconsistencies in all aspects of workflow. No room for growth. No raises.

    Advice to Management

Hire management with good leadership qualities that people look for. Someone who can be trusted. Someone with empathy. This isn’t a popularity contest. Leave the gossip and unprofessionalism in high school.

    Pros

The environment was very welcoming and everyone wanted to help you grow and participate.

    Cons

If you are young and looking for that agency feel, it has more of an office kind of feel. Less "happy hour" creative feel.

    Pros

Employees can be empowered to re-invent their role
    Creative is paramount and valued
Feels like an ad agency not a project digital shop
    Better work life balance
Good place to work, some very nice people reside there

    Cons

Weak on having a culture or identity

    Advice to Management

    Managers not seen

    Pros

Great perks, great pay, great benefits. Some people are pretty amazing. Lots of work so don't worry about being needed.

    Cons

No respect for anyone. Creative team, although talented are not team players. Management seem scared of the creative team, which doesn't help the company be a better place to work. Also understaffed and long hours don't help.

    Advice to Management

Man up and get new blood.

I have been working at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There's a real effort to do good work here and push the boundaries on what healthcare/wellness means. Some really talented, smart people across different departments. Culture is on the rise. Space is updated. There's a good work life balance-for an ad agency.

    Cons

The effort to do great work always relies on having the right clients on board and managing them. Depending on what account you are on that is a hit or miss. Resourcing becomes an issue. Replace talent that leaves with FT people dedicated to brand. Not stop-gap freelance. Make better effort to keep good people. New open space floor plan is open to debate.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in talent. Don't let good people walk. Continue to build agency culture across all groups.
