I have been working at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There's a real effort to do good work here and push the boundaries on what healthcare/wellness means. Some really talented, smart people across different departments. Culture is on the rise. Space is updated. There's a good work life balance-for an ad agency.

    Cons

The effort to do great work always relies on having the right clients on board and managing them. Depending on what account you are on that is a hit or miss. Resourcing becomes an issue. Replace talent that leaves with FT people dedicated to brand. Not stop-gap freelance. Make better effort to keep good people. New open space floor plan is open to debate.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in talent. Don't let good people walk. Continue to build agency culture across all groups.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I found the folks at SSW to be some of the smartest, dedicated, and creative-driven people I've worked with. Oh and the place is friendly with none of the ego-driven behavior you can encounter at other agencies.

    Cons

There are more restrictions on what you can say with pharma and wellness clients compared to CPG clients. But that just makes you think harder!

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to boast to the outside world about SSW. It's a great agency.

    Pros

Friendly people to work who worked hard and played hard.

    Cons

If they weren't laying people off people were leaving

I have been working at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time

    Pros

The environment was very welcoming and everyone wanted to help you grow and participate.

    Cons

If you are young and looking for that agency feel, it has more of an office kind of feel. Less "happy hour" creative feel.

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees can be empowered to re-invent their role
    Creative is paramount and valued
Feels like an ad agency not a project digital shop
    Better work life balance
Good place to work, some very nice people reside there

    Cons

Weak on having a culture or identity

    Advice to Management

    Managers not seen

I worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great perks, great pay, great benefits. Some people are pretty amazing. Lots of work so don't worry about being needed.

    Cons

No respect for anyone. Creative team, although talented are not team players. Management seem scared of the creative team, which doesn't help the company be a better place to work. Also understaffed and long hours don't help.

    Advice to Management

Man up and get new blood.

    Pros

Opportunity to work at a higher level and gain more experience. Office culture is fun and friendly. Junior positions are trusted more than other places.

    Cons

Resourcing is always an issue. Whether it's not enough people on the account team or creatives. You get overwhelmed easily and if you don't have a direct supervisor you're driving blind.

    Advice to Management

Keep resourcing at the forefront of your mind.

I have been working at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Competitive starting salary
-Large, well known clients and brands
-Generous time off policy, benefits package
-Decent work-life balance a majority of the time
-Company reputation opens opportunities for promotion within the Publicis Network and outside the agency

    Cons

-Slow to give raises, promotions, despite the agency's success. It's one of the reasons why there's an issue retaining talent within the account and project management teams
-At times there's too much emphasis placed on non-billable pet projects, and not on fee jobs for paying clients. Leads to resourcing challenges
-Not enough involvement of higher ups in management in day-to-day work. They seem too hands off to me, thinking to far ahead, and are too fearful of appearing to be micromanaging
-Too much focus on who's performing process and what their title is, rather than what they're doing and how they're actually doing it can be optimized
-Open floor plan. It was a really dumb idea, and everyone not so secretly hates it

    Advice to Management

There needs to be a discussion between upper level and mid level management on how the agency can become more efficient in projects for paying clients, and less about new business pitches. Those pitches are important, and while some great work has been produced for billable client projects, the quality overall seems to be slipping.

I have been working at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness full-time

    Pros

    Great benefits, casual work environment

    Cons

Support for teams is slow and shortsighted at best. Burns out teams while taking forever to fully staff them appropriately. Underpays internal talent. Does not groom younger talent.

    Advice to Management

Speed up staffing during busy times, train younger talent and then pay them to stay.
