    I worked at Sabre full-time

    Pros

initially was allowed to work remotely from home

    Cons

change in management changed the way people were allowed to work remotely
also, after training a member in Customer Care Department, they promoted them, but not within the same department, so all that knowledge was "lost"

    Advice to Management

sometimes its necessary to get a glimpse of the granular

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Interesting and fun work. Lots of travel. Experience many cultures.

    Cons

Very low morale overall. Not people oriented. Especially not empowering to women. Very few women in leadership positions. Dishonest leaders.

    Advice to Management

Be proactive in retaining good employees. Don’t wait until someone puts in notice to tell them they are valuable.

I worked at Sabre full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many people are good people with much experience and industry knowledge . Many of these people have moved into their positions thru on the job training and experience.

    Cons

Too many layoffs and the stress and worry resulting from that .... also you do not get time or training to learn new technology and tools ... so when you get laidoff your skills are out of date !

    Advice to Management

Keep your people up to date with training in the latest tools

I have been working at Sabre full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, a lot of autonomy

    Cons

Competing "#1" priorities, knee-jerk reactions to customer complaints, managing quarterly statement to quarterly statement rather than ling term

    Advice to Management

Put your people first. If you take care of your people they will take care of products and customers.

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great people
    Good pay and decent benefits

    Cons

Recent layoffs have affected employee morale.
    The 'great' people get overworked
The 'OK' people get by doing much less and sometimes get promoted

    Advice to Management

    * Listen
    * Abusing your good employees - by giving them more and more work - with limited opportunities for advancement - will eventually make them leave
    * Think of a few creative ways to improve morale and get our team dynamic back
    * Stop the rolling layoffs - DO them and be done - employees are having a hard time focusing - thinking that the next round of layoffs are coming.

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Has good healthcare options and the pay is pretty good, so overall I still would recommend to work there even with all the cons. If Sabre top dogs would fix the problem mentioned below it would be a real good place to work at.

    Cons

The people in charge are incompetent and select a few employees to be under their wing and give them anything, the rest are left behind. This review is for the Montevideo center. Also 9 hours a day is too much for this kind of work since the selected ones work less than the rest.

    Advice to Management

We need new management, the ones that are there now are bringing the company down and it's becoming a very negative environment.
