    Onsite cafeteria

    Cons

Previously a holdings company, so very silo-ed.

    Advice to Management

Too many people respond with 'this is how we've always done it' for this company to grow further without negative impact.

    Pros

They try VERY hard to give you the best internship experience. Very casual attire.

    Cons

It's such a big company that sometimes they forget that you are an intern who is available to receive work. For the first 2 weeks, I've just been shadowing one of my co-worker the entire time. I didn't get a project until the third week of this internship and even then it wasn't the project I would expect to want to do but it was something that I can work on this summer and contribute to the team. My team was very busy that they didn't have time to teach me much.

    Advice to Management

Plan out a project for interns before they come and assign an absolute mentor if the manager is going to be very busy.

I worked at Sabre as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are some nice people here with good intentions. A handful of leadership execs understand current trends.

    Cons

Good intentions are lost on lack or willingness to collaborate. Ego plays a huge part of the culture of accountability with no thought into what makes a good product. The concept of has a person completed a to-do checklist outweighs product value.

    Advice to Management

Show some respect for employees and pay for quality over quantity because in the end you will end up with a better product.

    Pros

There are bright minds in pockets within the company. Salary usually pays below market unless you actively hop positions (which is encouraged)

    Cons

Sabre has been very slow in adapting to software industry.

    Advice to Management

The management needs to figure out if its a travel company or software company.
