I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Company to work for. Challenging! Travel Globally! Awesome suite of products! Good 401(k). Work/life balance. Ability to work from home and in office.

    Cons

Would have given 4 stars if it weren't for the unpredictable furloughs on a regular basis since 2013. Occur multiple times/year and normally 90-180 days apart. Company grows drastically and then suddenly furloughs. Salaries could be better.

    Advice to Management

Stop the furloughs. Don't try to grow the company too fast because the hard workers end up paying the price.

I worked at Sabre full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work balance is good. Not lazy to adopt the new technologies.

    Cons

Frequent layoffs due to org change. I have been worked under 4 managers in 18 month of span. org changes should not happen this much frequence.

    Advice to Management

Instead of doing org changes, try to adopt the new technologies which make the services better and efficient

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Annual massive layoffs, no remote wfh options, incompetent management, new CEO every year, tense atmosphere (which used to be casual with plenty of social activities).

    Advice to Management

If you're going to advertise as a Tech company, at least invest in some current technology. Start the layoffs at the top and get some competent, fun management back who will appreciate their employees.

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people and the culture in Sabre is one of the best in the industry.

    Cons

To stay current and ready for future changes, the first changes they make is to get rid of the people that make them the successful company they are today.

    Advice to Management

Help educate the people who know the industry and who have helped your company become what it is to become more knowledgeable for future changes. Hire the new talent, then do reverse mentoring instead of getting rid of the knowledgable talent.

I have been working at Sabre full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent salary and benefits, good people, challenging work, great location

    Cons

Moral low. Toxic environment with short term investment focus. Not positioned to do well into the future. Sad to say that I expect my Sabre stock to slide in value.

    Advice to Management

Seek some stability (especially in the leadership - my boss has changed 5 times in the short time I have been here and customers notice our turn-over). Stop being knee jerk and changing strategy and approach drastically every year. Invest in your products and people. Stop making short term decisions that hurt Sabre in the long term.
