I have been working at Sacred Heart University full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Having summers of and co-workers on your level are great.

    Cons

The HR dept is not there to assist employees they just worry about the bottom line. Unprofessional dept managers. Supervisors who bully employees, it is like going to the school playground and worrying about the school yard bully and if today was your day to be beat up. A very toxic work place. Every year you get a raise your medical insurance goes up so you bring home less each year.

    "Excellent University Culture"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Visiting Assistant Professor

I worked at Sacred Heart University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The University's culture is outstanding. The faculty and administration are welcoming and truly care about student success. The mission and values are apparent at the University level.

    Cons

The culture can vary greatly at the department level. There is a lot of growth and innovation which lead to additional and sometimes unnecessary stress and volatility.
