I worked at Safavieh LLC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are none. Stay away from this company!!!

    Cons

They promise you the world and then you make no money!! There are no customers because word is out what a rip off they are. My friends told me not to take the job, I did anyway, and they were right. I'm not disgruntled just glad I'm out. The turnaround rate very high. Go someplace else.

    Advice to Management

Change your style and treat your employees better!

    Pros

I have been working here for less than a year in sales. I am learning a ton and there is so much room for growth. Safavieh is great at what it does and it's exciting to help it grow. I really enjoy the environment, culture and work life balance. Casual but professional. It's not the type of place where you have to compete about who stayed latest last night. Do your job, and be good at it during core hours and you're good. All overtime is on time & 1/2. It's a family business that's been running for 200 years, they know rugs and are kind people.

    Cons

The benefit package is decent and I appreciate them making it better in recent history but its not competitive to me until there's a 401k with match. There is talk of it happening soon and I trust it will. No summer Friday flex hours.

    Advice to Management

See the above- 401k and summer Fridays would make employees happier and more loyal. Would also help attract and retain talent which is important because the company is growing!

    Pros

I am an Account manager with Safavieh for a little over 5 years, client portfolio eCommerce, catalog, multi store accounts within the US. Company culture is progressive, high energy and focused on team building. My colleagues are seasoned sales managers with a winning approach and always ready to collaborate and mentor each other. Which also extends to our teams with sales assistants and junior salesperson with an all inclusive environment.

Sales bonuses and incentives packages are very generous, holiday party is legendary and do the summer BBQ at The Golf club cant wait. Although make no mistake about it there is no free ride, hard work determination and a little finesse will open the doors for you at Safavieh. If you bring anything less or have a sense of entitlement you will be writing a totally different review.

Upper management style encourages and promotes out of the box thinkers, ideas and innovation. With every review we are required to elevate our team members and promote from within. Our achievements are noticed and rewarded vs with our fails.

    Cons

One negative aspect is we are not offerd summer Fridays off, complimentary lunch is not offerd and there is no employe gym. Although the lunch room is state of the art and very clean and we do have complimentory fresh fruit deliverd daily.

    Advice to Management

My suggestion to upper management is to offer subsidized lunch, office masseuse would be nice. Also in addition to xmas, thanksgiving adding additional holidays paid would be amazing and allowing for expense accounts petty cash for the sales teams.
