need to review the staff performance according to the quality of work and staff outcome than seniority

I worked at Safeway Canada part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay would have been decent, that's about it.

    Cons

I got hired on the produce team. Over the course of 3 weeks, I was worked 3 shifts. One had me sitting in the training room all day, doing computer modules for everything but the department I was meant to work in. Shift two had me getting 2 hours of laughably poor training, followed by 2 hours of garbage runs and then being sent home 4 hours early. Shift 3 had me showing up, and finding out I had been "let go", and that it was "purely a business decision". This was a week and a half after my previous shift. Not once did they attempt to call me, and inform me earlier so I could get on finding another job sooner. Just awful. It's been a few months now, and I still haven't been paid.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together, and don't hire people if you don't really need them.

"A very disappointing place to work, Lack of training and being a new comer in a union place makes it even worse."

I worked at Safeway Canada part-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are no pros for Safeway

    Cons

Almost no chance for earning more hours for new comers, They want to cut there labor cost and they want there customers to be well looked after.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management means management above the unit, As the store manager and first assistant is the problem.

I worked at Safeway Canada part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I worked as a produce clerk. It was not incredibly hard work, but there were no days that I was just lounging around. Overall, very fair place to work.

    Cons

There are almost no ways to get significant raises. Some of my coworkers were working at Safeway for 10 year and were making $20/hr.
