I worked at Safeway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of my coworkers were really great. Scheduling around my school was great. Management was understanding of my school priorities.

    Cons

Cashiers who have been working there for years were at times rude and inconsiderate.
Very tiring being on your feet especially when closing the store.

    Advice to Management

Ask older employees to treat everyone equally.

I worked at Safeway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Helped get enough experience to get a much better job elsewhere.

    Cons

Had to join a union which took money out of my already low paycheck. Bad hours. Got thrown in with no training except for a few videos they expect you to memorize immediately. No support from management, once I was out on the floor I relied on (already overworked) fellow employees for guidance.

    Advice to Management

Please don't overwork your courtesy clerks and cashiers.
