I worked at Safran Engineering full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great place to work right out of college or early on in your career, especially if you want to work in the Aerospace Industry, a lot of opportunity to network with other, larger Aerospace companies. The company is small enough that you feel like you are part of a family, great co-workers. There are a lot of brilliant people that work there, from whom you can learn a lot and build your skills. Vacation time is better than most local companies.

    Cons

For non-technical positions, the salary is not competitive at all, they place all their value on technical skills (engineers) and do not value non-technical skills much (business positions such as finance, accounting, HR, project management, purchasing, etc. ). You will need to be comfortable with a lot of stress and high-pressure, will never be a 40-hour-a-week job, they will push you to your fullest potential (which can be seen as a positive too). Because it is a small, local division, there is not much room for growth unless you don't mind moving out of state or overseas.

    Advice to Management

Work on finding a way to show more appreciation and recognition to employees. Try to understand the value in non-engineering employees and make them feel just as important as the rest of the company.

I worked at Safran Engineering full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good place to start in aerospace, and they provided me opportunities to explore the areas that I was interested in.

    Cons

Company seems to hire more employees from outside the country instead of local qualified candidates to save on money.
Sometimes the convoluted 5S system got in the way of actually getting work done.

    Advice to Management

Listen to team members when they communicate, and receive cross training in your team members areas to fully understand the situation.

    Pros

They listen to their employees; every year after the internal satisfaction survey a lot of initiatives are created in order to improve.

    Cons

We are always running; sometimes we run too fast and it is really hard to catch up, some may get the impression that we only have time for the urgent work and not the important one

    Advice to Management

We need to make time in order to "go to the stands"

I have been working at Safran Engineering (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Young and small company that gives you the opportunity to learn and develop new skills and get involved in different activities.

    Cons

Very difficult to get a promotion and/or find a significant increase in salary
They used to recognize individual success in different ways but not anymore.

    Advice to Management

Need to provide better and more competitive salaries in order to maintain a good amount of workforce with great experience.

    Pros

They prepare you to work somewhere else, giving you lots of workload, responsibilities and getting paid less than the average everywhere you look.

    Cons

The rate per hour is not even close to the average in the industry.

    Advice to Management

    Too many managers.

I worked at Safran Engineering full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Made 1 or 2 friends. OTHER THAN THAT WASTED MY YEARS OVER HERE

    Cons

Worst company to work for. Unfortunately started my career with this company.Full of incompetent people who feel insecure with others hard work. I have seen some of the worst people in life in this office.HR has no ethics. They have no professionalism in dealing with employee. Have seen people(both full time and contract) being exploited. Managers have no back bone to support people under them.
SUGGESTION to people planning to join safran or people planning to start career with safran-> Work a little harder , struggle a bit more and join a better company. This will help you in future. Suggestion comes from an employee who started career with safran bangalore.

    Advice to Management

You guys are good for nothing. No scope of improvement.

I have been working at Safran Engineering full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some projects which you handle are really good from the execution point of view but you will not be able to understand the concept behind it. Most of the projects are monotonous in nature so its good for those who dont want to put too much brain during job

    Cons

1)No good compensation after end of the year
2)HR's cost cutting policy everywhere has forced good employees to leave the company.
3)Persons who dont know a single thing about management are sitting at top positions and controlling the engineers.

    Advice to Management

Instead of cost cutting you should focus on to bring more new projects from new clients, for that competent managers are required to do that. Other wise the company will continue to move downhill.
