I worked at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time

    Pros

Great space for collaborating in houston. Decent compensation.

    Cons

Disorganized and the shakeup with ATC did not help the work environment.

I worked at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time

    Pros

If willing, you will be able to work on multitude of projects, interact with a lot of clients, and may be able to work remotely to accommodate schedule.

    Cons

Must work high number of hours, may work alongside co-workers with large ego's, and may need to play the 'political game' in order to earn desired work responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Coordinate a 'training' program in order to create a more consistent work product between Project Managers and Project Techs among respective business units.

I worked at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Your coworkers are great, and it's a very casual environment.

    Cons

Management's expectations are impossible to achieve. They don't have much grasp on reality or what clients actually want/need. So much focus is on selling the conference, and everyone is expected to be all hands on deck for it, but it's incredibly disorganized. Expect to work 12hr days and most weekends while being poorly compensated.

    Advice to Management

If you're not going to give us any direction whatsoever, then trust in the experienced individuals who step up as leaders...don't step in when you see someone else being a leader and then all of a sudden decide you want to be the boss, but then continue to give zero direction.

I worked at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time

    Pros

There is a substantial amount of flexibility in work hours and the staff is generally competent

    Cons

Salaries are dependent upon arbitrary measures, former clients, and perception rather than on talent/experience. Junior people are assigned to be "in charge" of projects based on personal friendships or company contacts rather than on whether they understand the project goals or deliverables

    Advice to Management

Stop billing clients in order to train people on projects or to get projects out the door that are late with substandard deliverable. Measure quality based on content and usefulness to the client not on report format or internal perception

I have been working at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great exposure to many different types of chemical/safety reporting as well as several permitting types. Fluid management structure that gives flexibility on the types of projects available to work and the chance to choose your boss.

    Cons

Currently in transition, as Sage was recently acquired by ATC Group Services. However, details are being determined now as to the future of the company and it's looking positive.

    Advice to Management

Increase communication between employees and management. Provide a larger framework to understand the trajectory of one's career.

I worked at Sage Environmental Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Can't really think of one.

    Cons

Poor management from the top down, outlandish work expectations(i.e. Working 60+ hrs a week wasn't enough), no review system what so ever, no feed back on performance or quality of work, insensitive to family matters and personal time, low compensation relative to work requirements and expectations

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your employees and they will take better care of you

I have been working at Sage Environmental Consulting part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They were bought by ATC Group Services on or around April 2016. I believe the company name has a good future ahead of itself, not to mention ATC Group Services themselves.

    Cons

All current employees of Sage ATC Environmental Consulting (formerly Sage Environmental Consulting) are in constant fear of losing their jobs. There is no transparency, no leadership, no communication, just out of thin air mass layoffs.

    Advice to Management

To: ATC; do not be so hostile towards your newly acquired employees.
